Car withdrawal symptoms
Ok it is now 5 days since I last drove my car, nightmare.
Another 9 days to go. Would it be wrong just to sit in the car with the engine running, or will the neighbours think I have totally lost it lol. (Btw was hand surgery) It's torture seeing my shiny car just sitting lol |

Can you have the missus chauffeur you around? Get one of those baby's steering wheel toys to stick on the dash and pretend as you go along. It might help.
My wife has decided she has it midweek now as she'd fed of having a broken audi on drive. I could cry leaving it home knowing it's going to get school run abuse... Apparently if I keep driving the 3 I won't ever be motivated fix it. At least we've agreed it's mine on the weekend - I never imagined I'd look forward to driving something diesel powered Oh - and the neighbours already think you've lost it so forget them; given the detailing products you use, you must spend some hours on it... |

Normally she uses the car when I am out of the country etc, I invariably get a photo of my car at some location or other. At the moment my chauffeur is my receptionist, however I don't trust her with my 330, she can stick to her mini. Wife is chauffeuring me at weekend to BMW garage to get car booked in for those bloody stone chip repairs. That and look at a 2 series for her (again). It's annoying I got some new supernatural for the car but can't use it grr. Being car less is annoying to say the least. |

Please don't expect too much sympathy from me my friend! I haven't driven my car since last Thursday having seemingly let BMW allow some toe-rag to drive it for me ( and by toe rag I don't mean SWMBO). You have my sympathy re your surgery. My son has had hand surgery and it was dire. So for that I'm with you. If you want sympathy for not driving your car please look for it between sh*t and syphilis in the dictionary. P.S. Can I borrow your car in the meantime. Graham |

As for your original question...go sit in it and rev the nuts off it. If you get looks just smile at them and nod knowingly. |

I hit the 5000rpm redline in my Golf TDI quite by accident once. It still sounded agricultural. 'Smoke screen' was an understatement, I thought I'd killed it, but it seems to go better than ever now! |

@Brigand:
Sorry to hear about your hand surgery. Which hand, pray? The one that types or the one that gets your blood rushing? How many body parts have you had adjusted or replaced? Were you a soldier when you were young and virile? Hope your recovery is speedy so that you can use both hands on your glands. Get your wife an R! Does she give you a hand in your condition? Would be handy for hanky panky.
