Like RedErik suggested, could use something similar in the code. Take averaging readings. If the average changes significantly within a set time period , the program can dynamically change the output. Changing the "weight" of the sampling (thus the output response as well) based on a dynamic change of input values is also an option.

Been working my way through these threads since picking up one of these units at the start of the week but haven’t spotted a definitive answer; Gas anyone managed to source an anti-glare screen protector for these units? The reflections in my car are so bad during the day I’m actually Considering going back to the factory screen.

I have an Andoid 10.25 coming in the next few days. In reference to the sun glare, anyone used these? They can be cut to size and the feedback seems good.

Hi all. Is it possible to add autokit in the list with the navigation apps? What’s the line that should be added in the SupportNaviAppList of the factory_config.xml?
The idea is use the shortcut voice button on the steering wheel to launch carplay. I am using a headunit with android 9 and snapdragon. Thanks in advance for you help. |

How to backup HU partitions
This guide probably wont be helpful for regular users, but I will share some tips for those who maybe want to do some mods in Android system etc.
I was messing up with the unit and last time I've got corrupted system because I wanted to mod CentralService.apk. I had to do factory reset with USB method, but I was happy that it worked. At least I don't have a brick. Since I recently disassembled the unit, I took opportunity to solder USB cable to the Snapdragon board, according to this guide. I can say that it worked, and I left this cable just in case so I don't have to disassembly the unit and solder cable again. With cable, ADB is accessible in recovery and fastboot in fastboot mode, but strangely, it doesn't work in Android system. You can backup the partitions even when in Android (with "dd" or ADB), but if the unit doesn't boot up in Android, you don't have a way to restore it except with this USB method. Here is list of all partitions if anyone is interested: Code:
msm8953_64: $ ls -l /dev/block/by-name/ total 0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 DDR -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p15 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 aboot -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p19 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 abootbak -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p20 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 apdp -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p50 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 boot -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p25 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 cache -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p30 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 cmnlib -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p44 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 cmnlib64 -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p46 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 cmnlib64bak -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p47 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 cmnlibbak -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p45 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 config -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p34 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 devcfg -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p10 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 devcfgbak -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p11 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 devinfo -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p27 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 dip -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p38 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 dpo -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p52 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 dsp -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p12 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 dtbo -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p21 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 dtbobak -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p22 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 1970-01-01 08:13 fsc -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 fsg -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p16 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 keymaster -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p48 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 keymasterbak -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p49 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 keystore -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p33 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 limits -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p36 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 lksecapp -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p42 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 lksecappbak -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p43 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 logdump -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p53 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 mcfg -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p41 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 mdtp -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p39 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 misc -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p32 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 1970-01-01 08:13 modem -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 modemst1 -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p13 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 modemst2 -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p14 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 mota -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p37 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 msadp -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p51 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 oem -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p35 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 persist -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p31 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 recovery -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p26 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 1970-01-01 08:13 rpm -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p6 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 1970-01-01 08:13 rpmbak -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p7 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 1970-01-01 08:13 sbl1 -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p4 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 1970-01-01 08:13 sbl1bak -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p5 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 sec -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p17 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 splash -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p18 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 1970-01-01 08:13 ssd -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p3 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 syscfg -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p40 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 system -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p28 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 1970-01-01 08:13 tz -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p8 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 1970-01-01 08:13 tzbak -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p9 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 userdata -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p54 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 vbmeta -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p23 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 vbmetabak -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p24 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 1970-01-01 08:13 vendor -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p29 Code:

Code:
adb pull /dev/block/mmcblk0p25 boot.img /dev/block/mmcblk0p25: 1 file pulled. 32.6 MB/s (67108864 bytes in 1.965s) adb pull /dev/block/mmcblk0p54 userdata.img /dev/block/mmcblk0p54: 1 file pulled. -204.5 MB/s (56765160960 bytes in -264.692s) adb pull /dev/block/mmcblk0p29 vendor.img /dev/block/mmcblk0p29: 1 file pulled. 33.3 MB/s (1073741824 bytes in 30.794s) adb pull /dev/block/mmcblk0p26 recovery.img /dev/block/mmcblk0p26: 1 file pulled. 32.7 MB/s (67108864 bytes in 1.957s) I though, ok no problem, I will boot into recovery with USB cable and restore partition with ADB. But for some reason it didn't want to switch to recovery from fastboot. At last, I remembered that you can flash partitions even with fastboot. So I tried: Code:
fastboot flash system system.img In general, I hope someone finds the way how to mod system apks and this guide will help them to recover if they mess up the system. I had it enough for some time. Best Regards |

Hi everyone! I'm Kevin from Spain, I've been following your post for a long time and I think it's incredible !! I have learned a lot and I hope to continue doing so, I currently have a rockchip px6 of which I am very happy but I am missing things and seeing the incredible work you do, it hurts not to have an SD625 to make things easier for me😅. (I'm sorry for English, it's the google translator) I would like you to guide me a bit in the doubts I have in the first place if someone has a more recent update than the one I have. mcu: 415144 blzh-ccc-HW8-190710 (b1280_170325) FrameworkVer: 9PQ2A.190305.002 eng.work2.20190912.164845 ANDROID: 9 app View: 2019092901T_1280x480_970 RAM: 4 UUID: 010E6A88-3BFD-00B6-0000-000100001A88 secondly, and managed to change the image without boot problem, but not change the bootanimation of the android without adb. Hi all. I am have installed in my car (BMW X1 F48) an android screen (snapdragon with android 9) and I am using a usb dongle from carlinkit for carplay. When i am starting a phone call through carplay , voice is routed through the OEM bluetooth and everything is ok. The problem is that in case of incoming phone call the voice goes through the carplay, I cannot hear the caller and I have to reselect manually from my iphone the OEM bluetooth to fix the problem audio.
Is this a common issue? Any idea for the resolution? Please note that my car has no aux - only usb. Thanks in advance for your help! |

Peace everyone. Another one adding on..
I'm working with an F87 car with HK system. The car has original navigation, I believe 8.8" screen. I've purchased a 10.25 android unit; https://www.viovox.de/bmw-touchscree...d-10_1350_3835 I'm completely stumped here. After installing the Android unit - Audio works the idrive controller works (twist nob, movement on android display unit matches), navigation works.. however it seems that the BMW head unit is not communicating with the Android unit fully. Clearly some connection exists because moving the idrive controller moves the menus on the android. It's that when I try to access "car" menu it shows "No Signal". LVDS pins match, LVDS connection is seated as much as it can be seated. I've already sent the unit back to the seller and they tested it on a bench as being functional. I am not sure what I can check or change further. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks a lot in advance. |
