10.25" Android 10 HU discussion

hi,

I upgraded succesfull to 1.2 (from 3.8.5), and then tried 1.3. it started once to 1.3, but rebooted and next i got in android recovery mode.

I tried, the factory reset method by use of this:

Change the software name to: Ksw-P-Userdebug_OS_v-ota-reset-data_factory.zip.
1. Change the name of the USB flash drive to: _kswota_
2. Copy the software to a USB flash drive.
3. Connect this USB flash drive to the Android unit.
4. Restart the unit, it will automatically force the upgrade.
After the forced upgrade is completed, then upgrade the OEM, copy it into the USB flash drive and upgrade.

but this is not working, it keeps getting in recovery mode, any thoughts?

I did not tried connecting a keyboard since i dont have one atm (not at home), but the factory recovery via USB drive should word, shouldt it? Its a verified snapradon unit with 4Gb ram and 64gb STORAGE.

Most time the issue is that the file does not have the correct name.
ensure that it is "Ksw-P-Userdebug_OS_v-ota-reset-data_factory.zip"
No additional "." a the end of the file, and also that the 2nd ".zip" is not shown at your computer so not ".zip.zip"

Also after every recovery you need to delete the additional created textfiles at the thumbdrive.

also the name of the thumbdrive itself does change after a upgrade, your need to rename it again.

Kri,

I got it i think the issue is that the name should contain Q instead of P for android 10 to recover so use as file name:

Ksw-Q-Userdebug_OS_v-ota-reset-data_factory.zip and

NOT Ksw-P-Userdebug_OS_v-ota-reset-data_factory.zip

maybe add this to page one of the android 10 thread?

No I'm not. I didn't have the low volume bug where you have to run music app etc until after 3.8.3. Nevermind, I'll go to 10 and if necessary continue to use Tasker

/Edit actually I upgraded the MCU to 27/11 at the same time as 3.8.3 - The sound bug was probably imported then as I still have it with Android 10 1.3.0

Im experiencing the same. Im still on an old MCU from July 2018 and didnt notice any low sound bug on 9.0 and 10.0

found new bug:

Display brightness started always with 50% or less although level is on 100%.

Touching the brightness slider forth and back to 100% then it's bright.

Anybody an idea how to solve?

For the sound bug (not the new bass bug):
Middle speaker isn't working
I forgot the workaround from Android 9 and can't find it anymore in the thread.

Hi group, one question, since the problem of low volume at startup and other problems has not been resolved why update to Android 10? We need a reliable and fast system. What do you recommend?

Just installed Android 10 on Avin SD625 64gb/4gb. DDVR-CAM2 HD DVR camera app now crashes on launch and will not communicate with USB, this is front and rear DVR camera app. Anyone else have these cameras and this issue? Application is DUAL DVR-com.ankai.cardvr-3.0.20-20.apk

I always had the brightness bug, in Android 9 also. Tasker and cflumens is the fix.

For the sound bug... Are you saying that now bass bug is fixed but the center speaker don't work?

The system is just as fast and is no less complete than the final 9 - I upgraded as all updates will now be on 10 and I had a free afternoon

I‘ll try to describe it better. It sounds like Dolby digital 5.0 without center speaker working.

Signal comes from AUX with stereo sound.Android has nothing to do with center speaker.

Are these smaller units compatible with the android updates being posted here? If so I assume root is possible on this unit. Can someone post a link to the rooting instructions? Also do these unit not need the aux cable routed to the center console? In this post he is stating he does not use the AUX cable.

Hi. I have one in my E60 - you need to add AUX to your VO via coding if you dont have it as a menu choice in your oem system.
Then when you wire the new head unit up, you need to unclip the fiber optic green plug and transfer it over onto the new adaptor plug or no audio

I think the software updates on here are for all units - the file names suggest they are the same.

I mean this can't be a android problem. Android (AUX) is playing stereo, not more.
By the way i have Hifi-System and my middle speaker work correct.
