This is great.

I ordered my emulator from Aliexpress for $40 and coded using BimmerCode and it worked without any problems. The good thing for me is that because I have the 6WB LED Dash I do not get it saying km/h. It shows it like this:

It says kmh up there on your 6wB

Hey can you change to mph in your display unit settings? Let us know if that way it still shows the overspeed red trail mark on speedometer.

That is just a picture I found online. Mines does show MPH but the SLI without any marking.

Beware, several weeks after I installed my SLI unit, my head unit started to complain about incorrect units and after several more weeks, the HU_NBT board complained about faults and the dealer had to replace the unit.

Added the sli emulator today to my non kafas 330e.
All working well in both cluster and HUD.

Hi bud. Yes the MPH works as expected. I got it from a Romanian chap.

After coding into your iDrive settings // HUD information is a box more to tick, which infos you want. If you don't want speed limit info, untick the box.
But this step to repeat just because you get rid of it sometimes….ever considered to save your money and just watch the real world, dude? Just saying.

Using the one from Romania, the red line indicator when going above speed limit that gnolivos mentioned does show. Also, using 2016 US map and so far just driving around my neighborhood does contain the speed limit info.

As far as wiring them up (this applying to my car specific, YMMV. Use this info at your own risk!), these are the pins I used off the A71*b kombi harness.

Pin 2 - Red/Blue - 12+
Pin 8 - Brown - Negative/ground

My Maps were automatically updated over the air a few weeks ago. So I currently have the latest maps update.

That's great to hear. I think I have a previous version of NBT unit, as I update the maps over the USB. I am seriously considering the simulator, its one of the options I wish I had when I got the car. How good were the instructions from the seller in terms of wiring? Does the unit comes with any cable at all or just the little box?

It really is an awesome bit of kit.
Works exactly as expected. I actually thought it'll be a 'gimmick' but it's very very accurate. The speed limit changes on my display as soon as I cross a speed sign on the road. If I didn't know better id assume the camera is reading the the signs!

It comes with cabling. And instructions.
Instructions arnt very good as the cables behind the cluster are all similar colours. Multiple red. Multiple brown etc.

However I have the pin identification required to identify the correct cabling.
With this info the install is a 10min job.

I purchased 'clips' from Amazon which allowed me to avoid cutting any cables.

Truly was a beeeze.

The most difficult task for me was undoing the plugs in the back of the cluster. I have HUD and couldn't see the clip to undo one cable.
Once that was done all easy.

I know that On Ebay you get em cheaper with pass through socket for easy install. But those emulators show up as Kmh and not MPh.
My ocd would have killed me. Lol.

Get the emulator from the Romanian guy. And give me a shout and I'll send you proper instructions.
