I see a brace over a brace. does it really make a difference?
I would think if there was no prior brace, sure. but in this case...

I went from stock to CPM then to F32 braze.

The improvement for me is mainly how it handles and corners. From stock to CPM, there is improvement in handling.
However, you do feel it more when the roads are bad. When I went to F32 braze, the quantum improvement in handling is more compared to CPM but road imperfections is even more pronounce.

So in a nutshell, if your daily drive is through a lot of twisty and turns, you will like the mod a lot. If you drive daily through bad roads, you will kind of dread it a little though it is not extremely uncomfortable.

I recently changed my absorbers to B6s and most of what I dread about the stock MSport suspension is fix by it so IMHO save your $ and go Bilstein first then if you are still not satisfied and hv extra $, then try the F32 braze?

Others who have tried, pls feedback. I am just sharing my personal perspective.

Cheers!

I am planning on doing this mod myself. I have found that lower strut braces in concert with upper rear and front braces makes a huge difference. It keeps the car more planted IMO. I also noticed that AutoTecknic has a lower strut brace –

http://www.autotecknic.com/product-p/bm-0404.htm

I'm not affiliated with them or any such thing. I was just looking for a strut tower braces and came across the lower brace while searching. Great thread.

That was me post # 38 on here - using M3/M4 alloy brace as spacer - to increase the rigidity mid chassis - and then attach the main rearward brace tie down the rear subframe to the chassis - cheap by comparison to CPM and autotechnik as oem F8x alloy plate is <$30 including longer bolts !!!

You think both braces stacked on top of one another appreciably improve rigidity compared to just the F32 piece?

Hi

Did anyone try to use the f80 V-braces as well? Ref 33302284645 / 33302284646 - we ordered them together with the plate thinking it would fit, we haven't actually tried yet but would like your opinion - are we wasting our time and should I use the F30 plate + links as above?

Just a quick question, which parts do F32 owners buy? Just the reinforcement plate off the M4 + longer or anything else?

Just the plate, you're supposed to have the V brace from factory
Apparently BMW think sedan drivers like their chassis soft

Yes - use ramps as opposed to jacking the car up so as you keep weight on the rear wheels when removing rear subframe bolts to install cross brace rear attachment points.

Thanks for the info!, Can i just unbolt them without any problems? I mean, is there any part that might come out of place if i unbolt those ?
I have my ramps ready!

By the way getbmwparts.com is having a Free shipping offer until today.

Thanks again!

Yes no problem to unbolt the forward rear subframe bolts provided weight is still on the wheels.

If car is jacked up and or on axle stands such that weight is off the wheels, you may get slight movement of subframe when taking bolts out that could make re-installing these bolts more of a challenge.
