Can this modification be reversed/uninstalled if desired? If I'm willing to pay the dealer to program, can I install/uninstall at will?

Thanks for listing Scott's contact information. I just called him and asked to be put on the contact call list when it's available for the 328(d). I confirmed that having the d makes no difference to getting Shockware.

I read that shockwave is now available for the 328. Check their web site.

The letter you posted from Dinan says that it will be available in the near future for the 328.

I know that's what it says on the website, but I spoke to Scott personally yesterday and he said he'd contact me when it really becomes available.

Is anyone with an F30 335i xDrive with DHP planning to install the Shockwave s/w without the Dinan springs?

I stopped by a Dinan dealer yesterday. They quoted me $999 labor to install the Dinan springs and then offered a 10% discount. They will not charge any labor to install the Shockwave s/w. Said the car will require an alignment afterwards.

Thanks
Bruce

That $999 price less 10% seems quite high. You should be able to find comparo numbers from other threads in this sub-forum, but if memory serves installation was not more than $600.

Thanks for the feedback. This was an authorized Dinan shop and Dinan lists the labor hours involved.

I may talk to the local independent BMW repair shop that I have used in the past to see what they quote.

Bruce

Got my H&R sport springs installed 2 weeks ago and will do the shockware update shortly. Will update the positive results :-)

I'm currently looking into just installing the Shockware and skipping the springs completely. I started a thread in this sub-forum on it but so far nobody has commented. I found a thread on Bimmerfest where the OP raves about just the Shockware installation. What a concept!

If there's just a couple hundred bucks difference between the H&R and Dinan springs (assuming installation is the same cost) I would spring for the Dinans just because of all the R&D they do to put them together correctly.

Thanks. I've read that thread on Bimmerfest. IIRC, that was a RWD with the 704 sport suspension.

My F30 is xDrive so it does not have the 704 suspension.

Can someone confirm if Dinan's Shockware can be loaded on a 335i M-Sport (RWD) without DHP?

Thanks,
K

I could be wrong but my understanding is the the M-Sport has the M adaptive suspension so, "yes" you should be able to install it with out DHP

No, it's only compatible with adaptive dampers... which are part of the (optional) DHP.

I may be wrong, but I think the US version and the Canadian versions may differ slightly.

Mind you, I didn't really order my 335.... I just picked it from what was available on the lot. My only criteria was M-Package, Premium Package & HUD, so I may have DHP and not realized.

Interested but I see no retailed in Europe surprisingly.

Or an equivalent product from an EU company?

I got just the Dinan Shockware software and kept the stock springs. The software transformed the car. For me, there was no need to change springs too.

I recommend you get Shockware first and see how you like it. You can always go for the springs later if you want.
