MAP Sensor Problems

Hi Guys,

I've been getting a CEL for error 104301 Absolute Pressure Sensor, intake manifold, plausibility, cast: pressure too high on my 2014 435i. A couple months back I had a Dinan Stage 4 tune removed and had a custom E30 tune from BM3 put on the car. I had this CEL pop up about 4 weeks ago and I was advised to replace the MAP sensor. I did that and the car ran great for 3-4 weeks and now yesterday the code is back. Is my MAP sensor really bad or is there something else I should be looking for?

TIA for any help!

Rob

What boost is your custom tune running? Is it possible it is maxing out the stock N55 sensor (assuming you have not switched to N20)?

If you clear the code does it immediately return and do you get any driveability issues?

The boost is set to 17.2.... And yes stock sensor.

The drivability issues are at low speeds, lots of hesitation, and rough cold starts and idles. When I clear the code it comes immediately back.
