No LED taillights? Seriously BMW? The amber tinted part of the taillights looks silly and cheap. Considering the price premium over the sedan it should have LEDs and all red taillights like in the 5, 6, and 7 series. Even some cheap cars these days have LED taillights... you can buy a Dodge Dart with LED taillights but not a $45k+ BMW? That just doesn't make sense.

I will be waiting for the 2 series (coupe or convertible...not sure yet). The appealing thing about E90/E92/E93 was that the 4 door version was quite distinct from the 2 door one. The 4 looks VERY MUCH like a 3 with 2 less doors

It's just too weird that they went with a design that is this close to the F30..its the same language with different proportions (headlamps, rear lights).
Even worse, the 4 should have had a higher standard interior and not the same dreadful looking dashboard of the 3 (i actually like the "ipad"y detail).
With a new name, the designers should have had the freedom or the excuse to draw a car that's as different as the 6 is compared to the 5 (interior and exterior).

I like it. I had no illusions that it would have much resemblance to the concept, so I guess my expectations were not terribly high. Still looks good. Similar to the sedan, which may or may not be good thing depending on how you feel about the f30 design.

BTW BMW, the "fake" m badges are confusing as heck to non BMW people. It gets pretty annoying when my passengers ask me if my car is an m3, and I have to explain no, it's not but...

The new B series inline six that will replace the N55 will debut in the 4GC. But don't expect much more than 320 HP/330 lb-ft of torque since the M3/4 will be around 415 HP/400 lb-ft of torque.

E36 M3 is indeed faster than a 428i in the twisters, 0-60, and 1/4 mile. Not sure where you are getting that from. And furthermore, it's not just about speed. It's about steering, handling, and balance. In all of those categories the e36 is superior to the f3x and most cars built today.

this maybe a Euro only taillight. Europe always has orange blinkers, even on the F30. it is very possible US models will have all red taillights. below is an M3 that someone shows the difference in Euro vs US spec.

I have not once thought that the standard 3-series cars have looked particularly good. However every iteration of the M3 has looked bloody fantastic. I think it will be the same story with this one, not that exciting but it's a great foundation to build the M4 on.

And I can't understand the E9x boys who complain about this interior? Yes it's almost identical to the F30, but the E9x interior must be one of the plainest looking ones BMW has ever built. imo.. So compared to that it's a huge leap forward.
