Can anyone pinpoint the exact difference(s) between intakes made for auto or manual trans? An intake for an auto just has provisions for a vacuum hose and BMS simply provides a cap for their intake installed on a manual. I'm thinking this should be the case for the Injen as well, although I wonder why something as simple as capping off provisions for a vacuum hose would cause Injen to insist it's not intended to be used on manual cars.

OP, is it possible to take a pic of where the vacuum hose connects onto the tube?

The Injen looks good! Definitely better looking than my AFE Momentum closed air box. I live in the AZ desert, so additional cooling and heat soak prevention was primary on my list. I ended up taking Mike at Extreme Powers advice on a CSF fmic and AFE closed box for my current setup. I did notice a slight power gain from the intake. There's some additional induction noise, but it has to be cold out, with the windows down to really hear it...

Car - 2014 335i X Drive M Sport

Installation - covered in other threads but it's super simple. Took 35 mins max with simple hand tools.

Fitment - pretty solid once you get the pipe where it doesn't touch the hood.

In Cabin Noise - a little louder than I remember it being on the N55 E90 car I built. Nothing crazy like some of the N54 intakes though.

Dyno - I did a baseline pull with the factory intake in place and immediately afterwards with the Injen installed. Nothing huge in gains but still some decent improvements along the powerband with a peak HP gain of 12.97whp and 10.78wtq. (Remember it's X Drive)

Dyno - Mustang 1100 All Wheel Dyno
Conditions - 76 Degrees, 41% Humidity

I'll snag the dyno graph and upload it sometime this weekend.

Couple installed shots.

Since you had it from 2014
What's your review on this intake?

is CTS better than this?

Thanks

I installed my Injen in Jan 2016, no performance issues and beautiful turbo sounds. My only complaint is that a few months ago the coating started to peel off.
