Do not ever buy the Xbox version. We have had 3 sets and they all went faulty very quickly and each was refunded or exchanged. Finally dumped that plan and bought a wired Turtle Beach set for my son and it has been great. Wasn't too expensive at about £35.

How do you find these? Do you have the 600 or 700?
My son is also after a set but the stealths have quite poor reviews generally which is putting me off a bit. Was thinking about the new recon 200's for him but they are wired - seems strange tb seem to have gone back to pushing wired which again makes me doubt the wireless a bit as not much in price difference when 600's are often reduced. I have the elite 800's which seem pretty good and are fully wireless but I don't use them much nowadays so was a bit of an ott impulse buy. |

Mine are the older stealth 520. Sound quality and mic are great, I mainly play COD and BF and only ever use the headset now as its easier to hear which direction people are.
Problem with wireless is compressed sound quality. I went with the 520 as I wanted wireless and they support DTS 7.1 |

If you can find one. Quite new, good reviews, good price.

Think I'm swaying to the recon for him more now as believe the can be used cross platform whereas the newer wireless stealths are platform based so something to consider for OP as well |

As above the Turtle Beach ones are good.
My son has gone through loads of xbox controllers in the last few years as there is a known issue with the headphone jack. So annoying the controllers arent cheap at £50 a time. You can fix them apparently as link below. Wireless headphones maybe the best option to get over the controller hesdphone jack issue. Last edited by F20MAW73; 12-13-2018 at 11:41 AM.. |
