I just wanted to get everyone's opinion and help on deciding what percentage I should tint my car.
I have a 2014 435i M sport line with coral red interior. The exterior is Apine white
Need help deciding between 20%, 30% or 35% all around and 20% the back winshield only Taking all the advice I can get. Thanks in advance

I like 20% in back and 30-35% for the front sides. Usually you can get away with that without the cops bothering you. Go 20% all around you have to deal with them usually.

Whats legal in CA?

I would go 30% or 35% all around.

20% is too dark in my opinion... particually for White cars.

35% in the sun is a joke, why even bother.

35% here, but that's the darkest legal limit in Australia.

I just tinted my car 15% all around. I was debating with 20% but I am so glad I went as dark as I did. It may be dark for some but I love it. In the shade, and certain times of day like dusk and dawn, it is difficult to see into the car. In bright sunlight you can see in to the point where you can tell there are people in the car but you can not make out details on faces, etc. Plus sun roof shade opened and closed makes a big difference which is nice because I feel like I have a slight bit of adjustment capability.

I got 30% all around but am in not so sunny Seattle. I find it too dark in back for night time rear visibility.

omfg your car looks good! How much did you have to polish/wax it to achieve that glossy-ness?

and i think i might wanna do a 15% tint now after seeing your pic lol. Will the police be able to see my face if they're shining a powerful torch light through a 15% tint? It gets troublesome to have to roll down my windows all the time at check points. Stupid insects always get into my car :c

OP, what tint are you planning to use? % VLT means little without knowing what you plan to use.

I recommend you spend time researching quality tint and quality shops in your area. Find one with a plotter (computer cutter) so they won't bring a razor blade near your glass and/or interior.

IMO, the best bang for buck tint is 3M Color Stable.

Beware of shops that sell no name tints (dyed junk) and also some ceramic and techie tints that are good at rejecting heat but are too reflective when looking out from inside.

Thank you! She only has about 1500 miles on her, and honestly never really gets dirty. And yes someone would be able to see your face with a flashlight but it wouldn't be too detailed

Heres 20% rear and rear sides, 35% front sides on my filthy salted car.

EDIT: Eww. Saw it out in the sun today. Its very light. Wondering if I should have gone 5% around the back and 20% in front.

Can't go bad with 3M
I have color stable 3M all around (30 or 35 whatever the number is), and crystalline 70 on front windshield. Same darkness all around gives the best look imo.
