Oh yes.. you need a tune regardless to enable the new HPFP. I am currently running a custom tune from Active Autowerke.
How much whp do you think you get with the upgraded hpfp and custom tune? Btw thanks for all the DIY's. Help me out a lot.
Glad to hear they help! With my current setup and stock turbo, I put up 419rwp/425torque on my last dyno run. I am VERY pleased with those results.

Prior to the HPFP upgrade I was 383rwp and the motor was really struggling at high rpms. The fuel rail would crater and be as low as 800lbs over 6,000rpm. You could feel and hear the struggle.

Huge difference since the upgrade with only minor changes to the tune.

Is that with 93 or any E85? Also did you have to change the t-map sensor?

So what's up with the FX-150 HPFP? It's cheaper than XDI and is said to flow 50% more than stock, whereas the XDI is 35% more than stock.

However there is little to no feedback on this HPFP....

A couple people are using FX. The guy running full E85 that raced the M3 and ran 11s on stock turbo was running either the FX150 or 180, cant recall, it was in one of the other threads and a youtube video.
