Amongst the craziness going in the world right now, I thought I would share a milestone today. My 2013 328ix hit 200k on my way home from work today. Solid as the day I bought it.

Congrats! Have you had it since new and what all have you replaced/repaired on it? It'll be helpful to the rest of us as we rack up the miles. Are you planning to aim for 300k?

Yes, I'm the only owner of it. I posted a little while noting the big repairs but nothing too major. Mostly regular maintenance. The only item that I just replaced since then was the engine drive belt. My tpms module just went out. Replacing the module itself is too much for what it's worth. Now I carry a tire pressure gauge in the car. My goal was 200k when I bought it. Now that I have surpassed it, new goal is 300k.

Talking So far so good.

Both front doors sometimes didn't open from inside. The locks didn't pop. So I had both front door assemblies replaced under warranty. My exhaust is rattling so I'm hoping I can get that little clip fixed under warranty. The car is currently at 60,000 KMS.

One of my tpms went out too. I ordered this https://www.ebay.com/itm/143380706283. And it works like a champ. No coding necessary for it. Plug and play next time you get tires or before then if it's bugging you. I noticed you said module. But it could just be this. I'd read the codes if you can to check it.

Have you ever had the transmission fluid replaced?

I was at around 150k and never had it done so my mechanic said to just leave it for now since that start causing problems. So to answer your question, no I never had it done.

Well, after 131K+ miles, I finally ran into my first major issue. The other night, while cruising on the highway, I went to pass another car and while the transmission downshifted, the car completely bogged down and I got no power. No CEL, no drivetrain malfunction. Got it home and scanned it and I got some Valvetronic related codes. It seems at the very least I need a new Valvetronic servo motor, potentially an eccentric shaft replacement. Getting the telltale buzzing/clicking noise when I wake the car. As of right now, it's not starting which I'm hoping is just due to the Valvetronic errors. No other codes. Local indy estimates around $2800 P&L for both the motor and shaft and all associated gaskets. Only issue is I'm a casualty of Covid unemployment so cash is tight. Hopefully I can scrounge up the funds to get her back on the road soon! 🤞🏼

6 cyl. N55. PWG. Not terrible considering the parts alone would be upwards of $1500...just look up eccentric shaft replacements :

I've seen reports of this repair costing upwards of $4-4.5k. The shop is also offering a 10% discount so it'd be in the neighborhood of $2600.

Now I see, parts not cheap and fair amount of labor.
Good luck...maybe the e-shaft is OK and all you need is motor!

Nice! Looks like you need air in one of your tires, though.

I have to say, reading this thread really shows BMW did something right with this car compared to their typical history.

These threads on bimmerpost got me to buy an after market warranty on my 2013 328i with 50k miles. No doubt a good investment though my car is very solid so far. The extended warranty starts up as soon as my previous expires. The oil cooler gasket was replaced under warranty, post purchase. It's a $15k 328i, and I dont intend to replace an n26 motor out of pocket should the need arise.

So after about 3 weeks of my car sitting in my garage, I'm finally dropping it off to get the Valvetronic motor and eccentric shaft replaced. These were the associated codes pulled:
