complex coding problem f30 fog lights
Hello there. i bought an f30 last week i think there is a problem with coding in my car. I came across the forum while searching. When I press the front fog light button in my vehicle, the us sidemarkers lights turn on. When I press the rear fog light button, the front and rear fog lights turn on together. I want the buttons to do their own functions. Is there anyone who can help with this? Thanks in advance and have a good day everyone.

I recommend Bimmercode as well, as it's far more user friendly than E-Sys. But it doesn't do more than E-Sys. It can't do VO, for instance, and the more exotic coding has to be done in expert mode, which is pretty much the same as E-Sys.

Thank you very much for your answers. I couldn't find anything to fix this with bimmercode. I guess I'll have to reset to factory settings with esys. I have nbt (apple car play supported) and lci taillights added later in my vehicle. Do I need to re-encode them to work properly? Do I have any other choice but to factory reset?

FYI for US cars (and maybe other?) if you are in auto mode and press the foglight button it turns the headlights on. This allows you to turn the headlights on manually in adverse conditions (fog/rain/highway driving) without taking the headlights out of auto.
