Performance Muffler

Been wondering about getting a performance muffler on my 320i. I'm leaning towards that than a performance exhaust system and was wondering if it is worth the buy for the Borla - Pro XS exhaust muffler as I don't have any other mods on my car yet. And also if it would catch some feds attention if it might be too loud? Can't seem to find many BMW videos on it, so a tip would be great!

Hey neighbor, I'm in Homestead. I just got my 435i and don't really know what mods are available. I can tell you a muffler will not add much if any real performance and is usually just to change the sound. I've had borla exhausts on other cars and they are very well made. I don't recall any drone just a deeper tone. I'm considering just going to a muffler shop and see if they can put in a less restrictive muffler. I also want bigger tips.

There are many threads discussing muffler A vs muffler B in "Engine NN / Exhaust Modifications" forums. Worth researching.

What's your budget for performance modifications?

You're right about that, but I don't really have a budget but looking for a muffler as a first mod and go from there. But would you the best muffler shop in Miami to go to?

I know there's more sound than anything and that is what I am looking for right now and then going towards better performance after...
