Scammed By User: TCrush
Not sure if this is the right area to post this, but I stupidly didn't do my due diligence and got scammed.
Tried to purchase a dragy from user. Sent a zelle payment to his account (again, stupid I know. Especially bc there is no saftey with zelle). Got ghosted after, no response. If anyone else has been scammed by him, please report his zelle account at https://www.zellepay.com/support/report-scam. Not sure if anything will happen, hopefully they will at least shut down his zelle account. BEWARE: zelle: marianomichael6@gmail.com |

How many times are people going to get scammed by sending money through Zelle? Try contacting your bank and seeing if they can do anything about it.

Bank won’t help you. They tell you that upfront. I use Zelle for paying when I ship my car for the season. But, I don’t pay until the car has arrived.

I posted about him and warned everyone a week or 2 ago. He tried to use CashApp with me and when i told him i'd only use PayPal for the safety, he backed out. Clearly a scammer. I also messaged an admin about it, but never heard back. Hopefully everyone else realizes this dude is a straight scammer.
Not sure about your situation, but I knew he was scamming right from the start since he messaged me trying to sell me a part that someone else was trying to sell but claiming it as his own. I just wanted to see how far he'd take it. STOP USING CASHAPP, ZELLE, ETC! Use PayPal in not friends and family so you have some purchase protection!

The same P.O.S. tried to scam me too! Thank God I could tell something seemed fishy, so I backed out. Sorry you got burned. Hopefully this loser will get caught, or karma comes back to bite him in the ass.

What’s an admin going to do other than delete the account?
People are choosing to pay with zelle, venmo, cash app etc knowing there’s no recourse if you get scammed. I have zelle and it tells you to only use it with trusted people. I use it with my daughter and her mom. That’s it. |

But yeah, agreed. Gotta stick with paypal where you have some purchase protection on items like this.

Sucks to hear OP.
I'm an admin for another BMW site and deleting an account won't do anything. Idk why people ask for the accounts to be banned (we can so it stops them in their tracks with any PMs, etc) but they can make a new account. Even banning a specific IP doesn't work because they can go around that. YOU as the buyer has to protect YOURSELF

When i suspect someone is trying to scam me, I send them a grabify link to snatch their IP and lots of other juicy info.
Last couple times its been washington US, and somewhere in South Africa using some old shitty android phone. Note, they could be using a VPN which would mask this info, but there are ways to confirm this with the details grapify provide. https://grabify.link/ |

I believe this person is operating under the username BMWtrii on the e90 forum. Reached out to me in a PM with parts I was looking for. Using phone number 470 222-4744 which was flagged on the x3 forum.
