F30 335i ZF8 Upgraded Clutch Packs

Hello all,
I am running FBO (jb4, fmic, intake, cp, catless dp, axleback exhaust) and haven't had any problems until about a week ago when I slipped a gear in first (On Map 1!) Does anybody know where or how to get upgraded clutch packs for the ZF8 HP 45 in an f30 335i? I know that the torque limit is 330 lb ft and obviously I'm above that but I don't want to push map 2/5 etc until i upgrade the tranny. Any advice is appreciated!

Dude on map 2 you are pushing well over 330lbft of torque. That tranny is underrated lol

Im suprised your having issues. I know alot of people in here are running custom flash tunes and not having issues, at least that I know of, on the 8ZF

There's no clutch packs in the ZF8 there's only a band clamp for the planetary gears.

The trans is very underrated and 90% of tuned cars
On here run JB4 and map 2 with a down pipe that put torque at at leas 370rwtw with zero issues.

Then there are is upgraded turbo guys that are putting over 400rwtq and zero issues.

Chances are you just got a defective trans.

Yeah, thats kinda the conclusion ive come to after reading the forums. So the question is what can I do about it at this point? I want to be able to handle much more power especially if i get upgraded turbos.

Correct. Rated for 450nm but should be good until 700nm (unofficial statement from a unknown ZF engineer).

There are different ratings for the ZF8 so there are some upgrading that can be done.

Yeah input output shafts. Or source a used one out of a newer 335/435i they're beefier. Or get lucky and find a wrecked B58 and swipe that thing out...
