Performance solutions (in Schaumburg Illinois) hosted a dyno party for beemer customers. They did 15 cars 3 awd and 12 rears. Awesome crew!!!!

Was hoping to see the FedEx package today but they dropped the ball. Stock for one more day. I have to be honest I'm super excited about this AA tune!!!!! Hoping those TQ gains are real!!! I will try to hit the dyno on a day with similar temps and da to the baseline day to have a good comparison.

Agreed, anticipation is killing me while the weather still warm

Well my tune arrived
Install is super easy as the instructions are very clear and detailed with pictures.
The wiring harness is Bmw oem quality and the enclosure itself looks very sturdy.

After install I text drove the vehicle 5 miles to ensure all is good b4 getting on it.
Did a few wot pulls
Sport + mode will yield some serious smiles
And trips to Bmw for new brakes.....pulls like a freight train!!!!!
Dyno coming up tomorrow or the following day. Will post results..........and probably order a Downpipe.

Think drugs would have been cheaper

I'll try this weekend but given that I spent almost $3k on a traffic violation last year, no promises. I'll post both dyno runs (stock and with AA) and might go to the track as well.

ouch! yeah don't get in any trouble, just need to see a RAGING speedo needle and hear there's NO drivability problems before I order myself one

I'll ask the dyno operator if I can sit in the car and record the speedo. I came from a low-mid 11 sec car and this feels very good for only 2 mods. I'm most interested in stock like drive ability with little added power not looking to break any records. And I don't want to flash this car as let's be honest n54/n55 do not the have the most reliable fuel systems and this platform came from those so a piggy back is perfect. Looking for ~400wheel tq on pump

I can't wait to see an overlay dyno of the A8 and JB4. HP numbers seem similar except the A8 has that big torque hump in the midrange. There is no question that is a nice place to add power as we spend most of the time driving right there in the middle and is surely adding to the "feel" of being faster. In a full bore drag the difference might not be as great however.

AA have always made some really high quality parts.. kudos to them for this nice addition to the B58 options catalogue.

Any timeframe for addition of cel delete, some Meth support and race gas/E30/E85 maps etc?

I spoke to David last week and it does not sound like they will be releasing a CEL solution anytime soon.

The Active-8 is compatible with any and all meth kits. The car will automatically adjust fuel and add timing resulting in power and torque gains when used with meth injection.

We can also provide a meth specific map for those of you interested if you provide a data log of your meth flow versus rpm
