Retrofit of Electric Swivelling Towbar

Hi Jack,

Its the hitch rotation rack teeth that broke...the ones that make the hitch rotate round...Would probably had been better if it was the plastic ones within the motor gearbox cos as you say, they can be replaced! Once these ones break, the unit is scrap...I think! At least I'm gonna have a spare unit for spares in the future!!

I did see a post from the guy who makes metal ones, but like you dunno where...Germany or something?

I saw from your post you used to race at Knockhill? This whole fiasco is so I can tow my race car to Knockhill...Raced in the C1 championship last year and continuing it this year from the 12th Sept.

Ah thats disappointing! yes it was from Germany or something!

Haha i feel your pain! Its SLS / Time attack stuff i do with my focus! Was off doing some TA last year and was supposed to be doing SLS this year but working out the country and covid combined just hasn't allowed for it!

Hello everyone,
I write from Portugal, I need your help.
I have an F31 320d from 2013 and I intend to install the electric swivelling tower that I already bought. I now need to buy all electrical harness and control modules. Since my car is from 2013, and according to what I have been reading, the control modules should be different from those described in the assembly instructions.
At bimmercat.com it mentions the kit 71602296995 that already contains the control module. Is this kit enough?

Sorry, I have not understood you, your car brought the option 8SL or did you have to do all the installation of the wiring?
