f30/34 catalytic converter theft prevention

Hi All,

Anyone got any recommendations for a cat lock type product to make it less appealing for the scum bags to get at a converter?

Happy to fit a DIY one...

Thks

Although inconvenient having it nicked, there will probably be less damage to the car and it will be cheaper to claim on insurance than it will be putting something in place to protect against it.

Thks Pentland,

They dont look particularity difficult to fit, as a DIYer I wouldnt be welding anything. Its more of a deterrent thing as well. Seem to wake up every few days with postings on local websites of "ring vids" of someone local having had theirs taken!

If anyone has a recommendation Id be keen to hear.

Thks

Wouldn’t have thought f30 cats get stolen.

They are usually after Japanese cars and hybrids, so Lexus, toyota Prius, Honda jazz etc

Didn't think BMW's were targeted due to the position of the Cat being on the down pipe.
