F36 wheel and body work question
Hi
Picked up new to me car and wonder if anyone could advice, F36 430d m sport but is fitted with 20" alloys and the front tyres look a bit to stretched for my personel preference, current tyres on front are 225/35/20 and wonder if I could go with slightly larger size without rubbing on strut, failing that might have to drop to 19" Looking also for decent body shop in Bedford or Milton Keynes that could sort some clear coat peel on bonnet, size about 2p and wonder if this will need full bonnet respray or not, base coat looks undamaged but I'm not specialist. Thanks in Advance picture of wheel |

I had a very similar problem, i found out with mine that they did not have genuine wheels, my front wheels are nine inches wide and not the standard eight, so i fitted 235/35/20 with no problems whatsoever and look much better and as it turns out a better combination of tyre sizes for the transfer box for the four wheel drive, you can find the size on the back of one of the uprights on the wheel rims.
A lot of small garages do this kind of thing with new wheels, front and rear spoiler diffuser and side skirts to make the cars more attractive to sell, i bought mine from St James at Peterborough but there are many more garages like this. This was mine. |

Im guessing they not original BMW wheels as they look fairly wide on front, spoken to friend of mine who runs tyre shop in Hertford so will go there and see what can be done, do you have a picture how it looks after the 235 have been fitted?
Unfortunately we buy cars with our eyes, I'm not a fun of 20" alloys but it does look nice |
