No, no, no...

They didn't go out of their way, but for the 8 mile stretch of 287 in NY this morning they slowed down in the fast lane, let me overtake them, then went into the middle lane, then pulled ahead of me, they were trying to make eye contact, that kind of thing.

As a 4 Series owner, of course, I'd expect these 3's to let me pass, but they were clearly gawking too which crosses the line.

He was selected BECAUSE JOEWALTON IS BJ! See, BJ doesn't select BMW, BMW selects BJ.

This is BJ's previous car:

Maybe the 6 series is a bigger car than 3/5 with more room to for fitment?

The 5 series active roll bar is quite interesting, although with the extra weight and the constant working of the active components, the reliability may become an issue with accumulated miles.

The 5, 6, and 7 are all the same chassis. The 3 and 4 are indeed smaller.

As regards the F10, I think it's simply positioning versus the market expectations. Someone or some group at BMW decided that they would sell more 5ers if they were softer, so they are, and if you're BMW why spend the money on 704 suspensions that nobody besides a few enthusiasts even care about?

I'm not sure that line of reasoning lines up as well on the 3/4, as other car companies are trying to move towards the place BMW used to be at precisely the same moment BMW is moving away from it.

Paused, thought about it for a second, and realized how stupid that would've been so he did the intelligent thing, got the 428i Gran Coupe just as BMW would've rathered him do as that's the "real" BMW. When the dealer asked why the change of heart he replied "Inline 6's are for poor people! BMW didn't build this glorious car so that people can ruin it by driving it with an inline 6 cylinder! BMW isn't even comfortable building those awful engines! I'll take the 428i Gran Coupe! The guy I followed for 8 miles was that smart so I will be too!".

When the dealer inquired about whether or not they were going to trade in their 3 Series, the owner said no, that he was ashamed he owned such a piece of filth and simply lit it on fire in the middle of the dealership lot to purge the planet of those God awful satan spawn F30's.

The other F30 driver? He was so upset at the mistake he had made, he called his significant other and told his SO that buying the F30 was the biggest mistake he had ever made and that he can't live with himself any longer. He drove off a bridge and is now in the hospital in critical condition, begging the medical personnel to let him die for he owns an F30 instead of an F36 and doesn't deserve to be amongst the living.

Fun fact, during the R&D phase, BMW engineers wept when they were told by product planners to include a 435i GC into the line up. They used to joke amongst themselves that the 428i Gran Coupe was engineered by God Himself, but after a week they stopped laughing about that as they realized that it wasn't a joke but rather an indisputable fact.
I literally started crying at work out of laughter

I like the F30 better than the 4GC because I'm not a fan of hatchbacks, and IMO, the 4GC has too much of a family resemblance to the 4GT.

As long as the cat is out of the bag, we might as well continue the debate here.

First off, welcome aboard.

To me, BMW has a Small/Medium/Large thing going on and while all three cars have their resemblances, the Gran Coupe definitely looks like a Coupe with two extra doors. Or, at the very least, a squished lower/wider Sedan.

I have known Joe for years and Joe Walton is indeed his real name. I am not sure where he got "BJ" from.

Joe is a member of the Arkansas Walton family and is a distant cousin of Sam Walton. Unfortunately when Sam passed he did not mention Joe in his will. Joe was very angry about this which is why he is so obsessed with humiliating people in Wal Mart parking lots,

They must have been looking for those rare GT owners and spotted BJ Joe Walton on the street wearing BMW cap and roundel jacket pointing and laughing at Toyota drivers...

I think F30 looks way too family sedanish. 4GC doesnt look anything like the GT/Aztek. Aztek is narrower and higher for starters.
