2014 320i Alternator Removal

Looking for anyone that knows where to find a DIY or has a guide that would be willing to share so I can remove my busted alternator and install the new one.

I've googled the hell out of it, seems there are none online yet.

Interested as well... might have to brake out the Bentley manual and see what it says if no one has first hand experience with this DIY.

This was super helpful. Got the alternator out in about 10 minutes. Needed E10 hex socket for tensioner pulley and E12 for the alternator bolts.

I've noticed that recently my serpentine belt is sometimes making a screeching noise while starting. Since I've had the belt + tensioner and alternator pulley replaced last year, I thought this was rather weird. I inspected the parts and everything still looks alright, as expected. However, the top bolt of the alternator is missing. I have figured out it is an E12 bolt, but I can't find the exact size of the bolt, neither on realoem. Since the top one is missing, I'd figured it would be best to also replace the bottom bolt.

Can someone provide me with the exact bolt sizes (top and bottom) for the alternator?

Thanks.

Not sure on sizes but RealOEM can give you the BMW part numbers. Take a look here:

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=12_1647

Items 2 and 3. Sizes are actually on there - 10x75 for top and 10x175 for bottom.

Thanks, when I filled in my car details I got to another section of the site.
Anyways, if it might help someone in the future, here are the bolt sizes:
M10x125
M10x75
