Hello good people!

I have a 2014 320d GT xDrive and my Comfort Access on both of the door handles and the lock button on the trunk suddelnly stopped working. I can lock/unlock the car with the keyfob and I can also start the car with the keybof in my pocket. I get this message somethimes too: ''Comfort Access system limited'' (not my image)



I read that I can try to fix by disconnecting the negative wire from the battery for a few seconds in order to reset the comp but I cant find the battery Thats my first question.

I also read that it is probably a fuse but I dont know which one is it and if it is safe to just remove a fuse in order so see it if it is bad or not.I have looked on that piece of paper with all the fuses but I really dont know which one is it. Thats another question

I tried with all the keyfobs and I changed their battery too. No luck.
Do you have any advice? Anything for me to check?
I dont live and work in the city so it is very difficult for me to visit the local BMW dealer as I work mon-fri. They are closed in the weekends... However, I plan to visit them in the near future.

The battery is in the rear, right back corner of the car. It's under the side panel.
With a bit of searching you will find some pictures of how to access it and what needs to be removed. Might help: https://www.google.com/search?q=batt...#imgrc=_&vet=1
There is also a fuse panel under the rear floor cover if you have not checked.

Hey, thanks for the answer! I tried Google but no matter what i write in the box, the images are from F30 or F31. There is not a single image of F34 which is weird. I will check again when I come home and I will try to remove that piece from the right side.
According to the manual there are a few fuse boxes but I dont know exact which fuse is for this and if it is ok to remove a few so that I can look if they are bad or not.

you should be fine to pull fuses and look at them. I dont have my manual handy but pull yours out and look at the fuse breakout. You are looking for the symbol of a car door with a key on it.

found this fuse break out on a 135i post, its the icon second from the top left. I would check those fuses first

One more thing, the car has OEM Alarm system. Will that be a problem when removing fuses or disconnecting and reconnecting the negative on the battery?

You need an OBD II diagnostic tool to read the fault codes. If you're going to do your own work it's not optional, it's mandatory. Once you identify the fault use this to find out how to fix it:

Thanks for the tip! I do have an OBD II diagnostic tool but I dont think that it is the real deal.. I bought it for like 35 eur from Amazon, but I will check for faulty codes with that anyway. Do you have a recommendation for such a tool?

I have a Foxwell NT 510. Anything really inexpensive can read codes, but can't clear them, or do other useful tasks, like registering a new battery or bleeding brakes.

There were no fault codes.

If an error shows up in iDrive then it should show up, with greater detail, on the scanner, as the scanner pulls its data from iDrive. Your dealer's test gear is more sophisticated, and should find the fault.
