Ok, I’ve checked this today. These fields indeed present in configuration however it didn’t work - so there is difference in video output chip between Nbt Evo and EntryNav2. Nbt Evo knows to work both with Apix1 and Apix2

Installed today, everything is working as expected (F20 120d - my19)

• Get an 8.8" screen - part 6822626 (250/300€ on eBay)
• Follow this tutorial video to remove the trim and old display (there are 2 screws - torx T20)
• Go under Head Unit (HU_NBT) in expert mode and change these values (Bimmercode is fine)

  - DISPLAY_VARIANTE = breites_display
  
  3005 DISPLAY_PIP_CONFIG
  - CID_DISPLAY_SIZE = 8_8
  - CID_DISPLAY_RES = 1280_480

It's a little daunting but watch some tutorials and take it step by step.

I also have a 2016 with ENTRYNAV. But I never had "no signal," just the cut off screen issue. So possible your issue is different.

I have a HU_Entrynav, with ID4 (i spoke to BMW and I have ID4++) but how do I tell if my head-unit is entrynav1 or entrynav2? And is it apix 1 or 2 or pre apix?
Serial number of my head-unit is: 6821135

Also I have the business navigation.

I thought I am covered with this screen:

9385203, but now I am not sure.
I definitely cannot use 9387548, this replaces the 203 but is not exchangeable retrospectively, and when checking realoem it does not even come up with my VIN.
Then there are these two:

9381040
9371341
These predate the 203.

All of these say 8.8" LK High.

But my current 6.5" says 6.5" L7 Mid. 9322122

I also found some very old 8.8" L7 High Displays made by Alpine. That someone suggested that are the only to work cause the L7.
Also someone suggested that the displays at the end of the serial number have either 01 or 02, and this perhaps stands for Apix1 or Apix2?

Can anyone advice what screen will work?
I guess it is a trial and error, there is a lot of variables. I have the latest software on. Installed myself.

for a while, i've been playing with the idea of upgading the 6.5 inch screen to the 8.8 inch, whichever, touch or not. In most cases, from what i read it is a matter of physically replacing the screen and a couple of lines in bimmercode. Sadly, the more i read, the less sure i am it is possible.
The vehicle is 02/2018 F31 (A116140 - last 7 symbols of VIN - can post full vin if needed).
I have the 606 business navi on the 6.5 inch screen.

I've read multiple posts on successfull upgrades to 8.8 screen, however, most of them seem to be from no-navi 6.5 inch rather than from business navi 6.5.

Lately, i've found many posts saying the head unit for 606 business navi 6.5 lacks the "hardware(?) resources" to use the 8.8 inch screen.

seems odd, as i understand this should technically be a "better equipped car" than a non-navi one, or is it not? i consider having navi to be "more" than not having it.

Can anyone of you good samaritans confirm whether the upgrade is possible the simple way (just new screen + simple coding), or with the 606 business head unit, i would have to swap the HU as well?

I was reading the thread and I cannot understand one thing.. You mentioned that it is not possible to place the bigger screen for cars olders than 2014..

But does that mean that the screen will not work at all, or that the system does not allow to have the right resolution?

I'm asking this because I'd like to put a 8.8" screen on my 2013 f20 with an MMI for CarPlay.. It would be ok for me to have the full screen only on the CarPlay and, on the OEM system, something like in the attached image..
(it the screenshot you can see the OEM system when a 10.25" android screen is plugged)..

Hi. The screen will not show anything apparently. Regardless if you use mmi or not. Will be black. You may use one of bimmertech vivid screens. Get in touch with bimmertech. They will tell you.

I've done 6.5" to 8.8" upgrade on my 2015 F30 with HU EntryNav.
Coded with BimmerCode, display works fine.
But I noticed that new display is more dim compare to my old 6.5 screen.

Any ways to increase brightness with coding? Maybe increase display voltage or code some custom values of brightness? Any ideas?

PS: I previously search for this issue and check all the recommendations: my brightness is set 100% in settings. Display version set to "old". No dark mode enabled. It is still not enough bright, especially in sunny day.

Friend has a 2013 320d xdrive with business nav, real OEM says that for his car he needs 65509292248, reading information on this thread it seems because his car was built before 2014 he cant do the upgrade? is this still the case even with the older screen?.

You can use 6822626 8.8 screen i have a 2017 f30 with 606 business nav and used this screen, you will need to code in the below as well (older cars need different coding)

3001 EXBOX

Just had a screen replaced on my F34 318 GT 2016, from 6.5 to 8.8 (part no 65509387453). It’s LCI one and it’s confirmed to be working with my setup HU_Entrynav Business Navi.
Screen after coding works but... only half of it. Only left side of screen displays and right part of it is dark. We have tried another compatible screen as well and exactly same situation.Checked All resolutions and all other basic bits that need to be coded, still no improvement.
Have you ever had a similar situation ? Is there a way to get that fixed ?
Will try flashing and upgrading head units software next week.
Any suggestions?

I’m having the same issue. F34 2016 EntryNav unit, screen replaced to 8.8 9387453. Only half of the screen displays rest is dark.
Any updates on that yet ? Coding done properly all resolutions tried already...

Did anybody retrofit here TOUCH 8.8 display to their EntryNav2? I know it is possible for non-touch display, however I prefer the touch one since my EntryNav2 has navigation.

I would need your help, I have a 2018 f30 with a 6.5 screen, the code is 6837128 id6 and I have entered bimmercode but I do not get the display size resolution option, obviously I have entered the expert option but I do not have it, however I do have the option display variant, the issue is that I bought an 8.8 screen with code 6822626 I have tried it and in addition to realizing that I did not have that option, I have seen that it does not turn on, it does not even put no signal, you can advise me someone? many thanks,

If i will buy this display it will work on my car ?
The screen will work , but touch will not ? Or it won't work at all?

I remember reading (a few pages back) someone with the same problem solved it by coding with esys instead of bimmercode.
