Paint price opinions

Good evening fam,

I wanted to get some opinions from those who have experience with paint work,

One of my employees recommended someone he went to high school with, his dad owns a from what looks like really respectable auto body shop here in south Florida,

He said if there is nothing wrong with the bumpers it would be around $1,300 card or $1,200 cash. He also said it's essentially $600 per bumper however just paint he usually changes 2,000/3,000 on bmw, Mercedes, ect,

I feel like dropping off the bumpers to him and getting a good job done and picking them back up for me to install $1,200 out the door seems like good price,

I don't want the cheapest job, I don't want to be taken advantage of and I want it to match as close as possible to factory,

I also don't know what questions to ask as the last thing I want to do is go through all this work and the bumpers don't match,

I'd like to hear from all of you on some of your experiences, what to look out for and just your overall opinions, thank you everyone.

I got both my M sport front and rear bumpers painted for 830$ canadian (600 ish USD) by my body shop. You're paying almost double what I paid! Kinda weird because you'd think it would be more expensive in Canada. Quality I received was 11/10 as well, colour match was great and no issues so far.

Wow thats a deal haha. I am also in south Florida so I don't know how that effects pricing. I would guess it would be cheaper as we are not fighting the cold northern climate.

You could always get a few more quotes just to be safe. Are the bumpers you have OEM or aftermarket M sport bumpers?

Yeah I need to get some more quotes just to be safe, the more I think about it the more I feel like it is high.

Goodgo right? Fitment is 10/10

I will say though, when I was doing all the research for my M sport conversion, almost all the videos I watched mentioned that paint would be 5-600$ USD. I always disregarded that part because I had gotten a quote from the very beginning and it was much cheaper than that. So maybe it's just a US thing.

Yes, I haven’t test fit it yet, but, from how the grills fit it and the construction of it it seems really well built, super happy with it, I’m hoping everything lines up nicely,

The car is out of commission until I get my new PCV, should be delivered tomorrow from ECS tuning,

I don’t really want to drive the car until I get the new one installed, moving it around to test fit and such, so much white smoke starting it without the PCV installed,

I’ll report back once I do the test fit, super excited, except the paint price lol.
