Like you, I'm not convinced on the G30/31. I was drawn to the F10/11, as I too thought BMW had got it right, if just a bit too big.

I'm still not there to upgrade, not sure I will. Just don't like all the extra bling on the latest models. Much too fussy and in your face.

You've got a point there. I was watching a video of the Lexus RC350 F Sport which I like visually (dull performance though) and that's got a HUGE grille, but it's almost all lower down on the car.

It reminds me of when American automakers tried to make the front ends of their pickup trucks look more like a semi. They are finally toning down the look again.

So do I, it's taken me a while but the one with the black grilles is awesome, you'd need to have the 750i or M760i though can't pull that look off with a weedy diesel under the hood.

750i now has 530hp and 3.8 seconds to 60 in a 5.1 metre long barge....splendid.
