Thing is, we haven't got any great politicians in waiting to save us.

And if something amazing did happen, and the wise, intelligent, reasoned, and moral politicians we're all waiting for did turn up, it wouldn't matter anyway. They wouldn't deliver a successful Brexit either, because they'd know straight away what a stupid, backward thinking idea it was in the first place!
17.5 million people didn't think it was a stupid backward idea .
Don't be bitter you come across as a very intelligent person but a very very angry one.

I'm not angry. I am however frustrated.

Frustrated that so many intelligent people still haven't been able to see the reality. The fact that this ultra conservative, isolating step, cannot be delivered anyway, whether it should, or should not, be delivered is irrelevant.

And fed up of beating around the bush, we should just say it as it is. If you didn't think it was a stupid move 2 and a half years ago, sort of fair enough. If you can't see it's a stupid move now, then I don't think it is fair enough.

Which part of this do you think is going to be good for the UK?

Definitely not TM deal

No single market

No custom union

Make our own laws

Control our borders

Which part do you think will good for the UK
probably nothing.

All the scaremongering now is worse than before the referendum especially by the non leavers.
And I agree it's frustrating also for the people who want to leave the EU.

You are a remainer and I respect that choice you made .

I didn't do it to get respect. I thought long and hard and then decided it was a backwards move voting leave.

You think that no single market and no customs union is good? Why on earth would you think that that is a positive move?

We didn't control immigration the way we were actually allowed to when we were in the EU. Every compromise and proposal I hear is about letting people have access still. Not sure you're going to get what you want there.

Large businesses, across all sectors, are calculating what it might mean to them in the case of a no deal. They're not doing it for shits and giggles.

And yet, people who have genuinely have no real clue about these businesses are sat there saying the same stupid shit and labelling it "scaremongering". Because that's the easy way of dismissing every piece of reasoned, knowledgeable, intelligent research that these conpmpanies have done.

In fact it's the only way to dismiss it. Because you don't have the benefit of the same reasoned, intelligent projections to say it's going to be ok. Because it doesn't exist.

Blind hope was ok 2 years ago (it wasn't really, it was still idiotic), but now this is real, not just theoretical and you still have nothing, other than blind hope.

Only extreme brexiters think it's a good idea thankfully there aren't that many around.
Shouldn't the HOC do what the referendum result said which was leave the EU.
Most people knew that the HOC was stuffed with remainers and they would do anything to remain in the EU.
Unfortunately for them Leave won that vote so we should be out of the EU on 29/03/19.
Deal or no deal.
But remember TM quote No deal is better than a Bad deal which obviously this is what it is a very bad deal.
They even tried to take no deal of the table.
I would like to have remain taken of the table.
The lot of the rabble we have in HOC are in there for themselves nothing but wankers the lot of them.
Where is the bulldog spirit we dont need the EU fight the good fight people lets be free from the corrupt EU.
You've been duped by the likes of Farage and your pride prevents you from admitting it.....whilst he and those of his ilk are laughing all the way to the bank.

When I started this, not in the wildest scenario did I think there could possibly be no deal at this late stage.

What did you expect?

Genuine question.

What did you expect?

Genuine question.
That it would be sorted out long before end of March.

With a. Plan.

Expecting too much of course.

I didn't, I absolutely knew it'd be a disaster, especially when DC walked away.

It was obvious we were going to end up in a situation like this before the referendum if we chose leave, which was a big part of why I didn't.

Same here, it was only ever going to end up in this absolute shambles.

At the risk of sounding like a cracked record, any project of this magnitude being scoped and implemented by civil servants with heavy involvement and interference from politicians under intense scrutiny from the media was never going to work
One of the many reasons why I voted Remain

So there it is.

In terms of the March 29 timeline.

Result = No DEAL!
