My Blackstone Oil Analysis

Not bad considering it gets redlined often. JB4 stg2, KNN, catless.

You gotta think, if you care enough to get oil tested, you take care of your vehicle. Which could be why you see so many positives. I'm not really surprised.

On the e46 forums you see an occasional lower quality test.

Good to see an objective datapoint for the 10k miles interval. I never had any issues with 10k mile intervals and this supports it.

I have seen Blackstone reports on forums that are below average or where they caution the owner to go a little lower next time.

How many total miles on your car OP?

Good report, mirrors occasional reports I’ve had done over about 20 years on a few different BMWs following BMW’s recommended OCI. I’ve been following 1 year / 10k intervals since my 2002 E46.

Could be those people take care of their cars correctly, so that's a good thing!

Mine came back with coolant in the oil, which came from the OFHG leaking. After I fixed it and sent it back in, there was no more coolant contamination and everything looked good.

That's good to hear. Yeah I'm guessing most people who order are car people mainly haha
