Harman Kardon missing High tones

Hello there

I noticed if you connect using bluetooth on for music, sometimes the trebles are muffled and then came back to live couple seconds later. This happened on my front passanger side only where I was listening to hardstyle, the high pitched noises were sounding like they were covered by something and then got released seconds later.

does not happen when the phone is plugged in with USB to listen to music. Anyone having same issue?

I have the same issue. Are you on iOS? I started noticing it a few updates ago. Repairing the phone didn't solve the issue either.

I'll have to try plugging in through USB.

Make sure your iPhone is always on the latest iOS version.

I am an audio-nerd and refuse to use the BT connection and use the USB port and a magnetic mount each time. The sound quality has been good, with the exception that the armrest tends to short out any lightning cable.

To mitigate this, I used a Dremel and created a channel in the arm rest for the cable to sit in. Since then, I've been using the same cable without issue. So sad BMW sought fit to place the USB port in such a bad spot.

Also, is your iDrive up to date?

I have been noticing this issue lately as well and I don't have HK only hi-fi. Seems like the really high end frequencies sort of come and go throughout a song intermittently but only happens through Bluetooth. This makes me feel it is an iOS issue because I only started noticing it recently.

I found the problem. seems to happen on ios 12.1.4 above. I tested on my other phone that still uses the ios 12.1.2 and seems the problem not to happen. plugging it via usb from now on
