ECU flash failed on a couple modules. next step?
Hi all. I flashed my DME and that was fine (with the car on but not running), so then I went to flash the rest (with the car running). A few minutes later the car had stopped running, so I quickly hooked it up to another car with jumper cables just in case, but not everything flashed properly. Below is the error log. I backed up everything before I started flashing the ECU. Currently my Navi screen is blue with a flash message at the top. What can I do to resolve this? I read about using the injection method, but don't know what files I would use.

So I tried this method:
- Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on desired HU_NBT => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from I-Level shown => Select OK => Right-Click on HU_NBT (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE. But when I click on the button "Detect CAF for SWE" I get the message: "No CAFD-Mapping for base variant "HU_NBT" found. [G090]" |

Only solution will be successful flash.

Thanks so much for replying Shaun. I did some coding before (standard stuff like change blinker counts and enable video while driving). Is that changing the FA?
Now when I go through the step in the Flashing ECU guide 1.0.1 to flash the ECU now, I get stopped trying to read existing data from the car. I can provide more detail if needed. But to reflash, can I just jump to step 9 (Tal Processing page), populate the 3 boxes with my previouly saved files and try again? |

No, that would not be changing FA.
Which ECU do you have now, that does not have a CAFD with Green Dot?

I will check on which ones are down, but I know the HU_NBT was down. I just checked the cheatsheet for coding and I see that some of the coding changed I did was VO coding like Active Enhanced Bluetooth, and Sport Auto Transmission and that is under the FA. Is that changing the FA? I don't know the terminology very well.

HU_NBT should have CAFD with Green Dot. If yours is missing CAFD, you need to try and inject CAFD into ECU and VO Code it. If that fails, you will need to successfully flash NBT. Your backed up files are of no use.

Connect => Read FA (VO) => Activate FA (VO) => Read SVT (VCM) => Left-Click on HU_NBT => Click on "Detect CAF for SWE" => Select the CAFD from latest I-Level shown => Select OK => Right-Click on HU_NBT (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE. In original post, it states say you flashed DME. I would assume from that you already know how to flash an ECU. Nonetheless, here is guide: E-Sys - Flashing ECU Guide v.1.0.1.pdf: https://mega.nz/#!VwIzGJJY!oHCQrh-ax...syn-9eEytBH1qo

Ok, so I had tried the Injection earlier and tried again and at the step when I click on the button "Detect CAF for SWE" I get the message: "No CAFD-Mapping for base variant "HU_NBT" found. [G090]"
I had also tried the flashing route, but had gotten a warning when calculating TAL, but I continued on this time. There were 5 that still could be updated: ASD, GWS, EGS, FEM_BODY, and HU_NBT. I was able to update ASD, EGS and FEM_BODY, but the other two continue to fail: GWS GWS - 5E] - [Exception - GWS - 5e] SVK-Ist does not match expected SGBMIDs for ecu ECUId:GWS_0x5E. Excpected (relevant process classes only): [hwel_00001072-001_000_000, hwap_00000749-255_255_255], Actual (relevant process classes only): [hwel_00001072-001_000_000, hwap_00000606-255_255_255], Missing SGBMID(s): [hwap_00000749-255_255_255], Surplus SGBMID(s): [hwap_00000606-255_255_255] and [HU_NBT - 63] - [Exception - HU_NBT - 63] job failed with negative response error: code: Problem during HTTP softwareupdate occurred! Update failed description: Errorstatus: UPDATE_ERROR; Errorcode HTTP-Server: 0; ECU: HU_NBT_63_ETHERNET_63 severity: ERROR GWS almost seems like a requirement for HU_NBT, since when I try to update GWS, it also lists HU_NBT in the task window. Maybe if I can get that going, then HU_NBT will follow. But it says I have an unexpected versions. Do you know how I can get and apply the correct version? |

Here is what I have before I ever modified anything.
A bunch of files named like: CAFD_000000B5_012_004_015.ncd (1-10k files) An FA xml file (4k file) A SVT xml file (66k file). |

I guess I mis-understood you. I did code the enhanced bluetooth and sport auto transmission, so the FA is modified (if I am now understanding your question). And yes, it was modified when I tried to update the ECU. You pointed out eariler that I should not have done that, but I was unaware of that when I did, and didnt see that condition in the manuals.

2TB sport auto transmission in FA is causing the "[GWS - 5E] - [Exception - GWS - 5e] SVK-Ist does not match expected SGBMIDs for ecu ECUId:GWS_0x5E" error. 6NS enhanced Bluetooth in FA is causing the NBT issue.

Thanks, I will try that tonight when I get home from work. I assume I can code that just like normal and it will work even though some of the ECU are down?
