High pitch turbo noise in low speed

I get this high pitch noise by the engine bay, close to the firewall, passenger side.

If the car is cold (assumption), and give it "tender" gas, I hear the "whine noise" and it goes away if I go above 40-60mph.

Maybe it is always there, but goes away in higher speeds due to wind/road noise.

I have just noticed the high pitch noise lately, and it reacts to throttle response (giving it gas or letting off).

Seems like a turbo noise, not sure if its normal.
Anyone experience this?

I am still breaking in my car but i can say that at least up to 4.5ish thousand RPMs, at maybe 60% throttle, the turbo is silent. Haven't heard a peep from it yet, which kinda sucks. I'm hoping I get something, anything, when pushed a little harder. I'm coming from an Evolution 10 that sounded like a jet taking off when I mashed the gas.

Are you sure it's engine bay? Could it be interference coming through the speaker on that side? I've heard that before and it sounds exactly like you described.

I am not 100% sure, speaker noise is possible! Maybe I'll try messing with the volume and or the radio when I hear that noise again.

Definitely not going to be like an Evo, but you can definitely hear the turbo spool!

I feel much the same way. I would love MORE turbo whine. This motor is sooooo quiet that the only time I even hear the turbo is while in a drive-thru with the motor's engine noise echoing off of the wall, and even then it's VERY faint. Then I roll up next to EVO's and stuff, and the turbo's whine is just symphony.
