Aftermarket Carplay Module, so far so good !

finally done my installation

it works really well.... the switch is almost instant. sound quality is as good as bluetooth.

Fully integrated with idrive knob, steering wheel key and control panel.

It looks even better than the carplay interface in latest nbt evo cause it is full screen.

I greatly dislike Apple Maps, but I want this mod sooner if Google maps is compatible now.

Google Maps became compatible with Apple Car Play when iOS 12 released.

OP,

Can you give us a bit more detail? Install time/effort, maybe how the Unichip works...and the vendor you got it through? THE primary reason I didn't get Apple Carplay was because of its lack of support for googlemaps and waze!!!

It’s quite simple. Remove the center control panel. And plug the nbt wire harness and CarPlay box wire harness with the harness adapter. Remember to transfer the antenna cable. That’s it. For the location of CarPlay box, you can put it in the space between glove box and center dash, or stick it under the glove box.

Google maps and Waze are all support after iOS 12
