Yes. Formatted the drive as Fat32. Just the 3 files and 4 folders in the root. Still the same message.

The maps version in my car is still NEXT-2014-2. Wonder if that has anything to do with this update?

Wanting to update to EVO 2020-1 europe west.
I'm still in map updates with BMW but they aren't showing 2020 maps for me.

It should work if map package was good, and you had no errors during extraction.

Current version does not matter. Can update from any older version.

EVO Map is not Split into East and West. It is single map for all of Europe. PM sent.

No errors during extraction. Did all of it on a PC just to be sure the mac doesn't add any hidden files. Not sure what else I can do?

Try a different USB Drive, and Format it, even if already Fat32.

It was the 2TB USB drive I was using. I brought another 64gb drive and tried on it and the update worked. Thanks a lot for your helpful suggestions. Much appreciated.

How did I manage to update my map without an FSC code?

My car is a 2016 Z4. My old map was 2016-1. When I inserted the USB, iDrive prompted me to update the map, so I clicked OK. The upload began immediately, without prompting me for the FSC code. It completed successfully, and my version now shows 2020. WTH?

Current FSC Code was valid, so it not ask to enter a new one.
