Can anyone assist me to pinpoint what this could be? I was thinking either the fan or fan relay. (13' 335i rwd sedan)

Valvetronic eccentric shaft is my guess. It should make this noise for a few minutes max and quiet down. If it is, its a known problem.

Thanks for your response! It makes the noise after the car is warm and driven. It will remain buzzing while car is running until I turn the car off. Then a few seconds later after car is turned off, it stops.

I've had this issue but I'm not sure if the sound is still going on as the engine is on. I usually notice it once I turn the engine off. Mechanic told me he's seen it on almost all BMW models and to get it fixed once it gets worse. Not sure if this is your exact problem.

I will take it to my mechanic and see if he says the same thing. Will post what he says. Thanks!
