Khizer's F30 Build Thread
What's up guys
I decided to make a build thread to keep track of what I do to my car and see its progression from the time I bought it. I sold my 2009 Honda Civic Si and a year later purchased my 2013 BMW 335i M-Sport on Dec.28th 2016. It is mineral grey with coral red interior and is a six speed manual rear wheel drive model. I bought the car used from a dealer in Brooklyn, and it came with 20% tinted windows and gloss black kidney grills when I bought it. But anyhow: First day bringing it home (12-28-16): Ordered a Jb4 for it which came in the mail which I have yet to install: Decided to complete the 60k mile service including oil change, spark plugs, tranny fluid, and rear diff fluid with redline fluids: Ordered and installed BMS Performance Cold Air Intake (1-12-17): When I bought the car the front bumper was chipped so decided to buy a front lip to cover the chip up: Ordered VRSF Catless downpipe, and carbon fiber deck lid spoiler, which I still have to get installed. Picked up a set of Alufelgen SF71's off a local member, and ordered spacers today, can't wait to install (5-6-17) Alright, So finally got a chance to install some stuff. Carbon fiber rear deck lid spoiler, Tow hook front license plate relocator, spacers, and wheels all installed: (5/20/17 weekend) Got my mirror caps wrapped gloss black and reflectors tinted: (5/24/17) Finally got my VRSF Catless downpipe installed and JB4 put in. European Auto in Island Park NY did the install, I highly recommend them (6/9/17): Found someone local parting out his F30 on Craigslist, and picked up a mint OEM M-Performance rear diffuser. By far one of favorite mods, very subtle yet aggressive (7/2/17): Got a great deal on an Active Autowerke 5" front mount intercooler and charge pipe that I couldn't pass up on. So ordered it and had the intercooler and charge pipe installed today. 7/14/17 Had my OEM 400m wheels powder coated gloss black and ceramic coated 8/1/17 (Sold my Alufelgen wheels after I cracked one wheel - Thanks to NY roads) ] Removed JB4 after a week of having it installed and was running on a stock tune for almost 9 months - was very unhappy with the piggyback system. It gave me many problems and was a very sloppy way to tune your car in my opinion. I decided I wanted to go with a protune and after months of researching and deciding on who to get my car tuned by and where to get it done, I settled on protuningfreaks newest bm3 platform. Unlocked my DME and flashed my ecu all from the comfort of my garage. Decided to run a stage 2 OTS E30 tune. The car is an absolute beast to say the least. (3-16-18) After over a year of wanting an exhaust, I finally decided to pull the trigger and spend the money on the setup I had always wanted. AWE Tuning Touring Edition Axleback Exhaust w/102mm chrome exhaust tips installed. (4/29/18) Sounds absolutely beautiful. Ordered ///M projector door lights off Amazon and Installed them, one of the cheapest and favorite mods of mine. 5/31/18 Ordered a new carbon fiber front lip since my previous lip broke in half and flew off on the highway It came in the mail today and I installed it the second the FedEx guy dropped it off. Fitment is better than previous lip, still miss my old one though. (6/30/18) Mod List: Exterior: -Carbon fiber rear deck lid spoiler -Mpireboyz Member 205 Decal -Gloss black wrapped mirror caps -Tinted reflectors -Oem M-Performance rear diffuser -Dewhel front bumper tow hook license plate re-locator -Carbon fiber M-Sport front lip Engine/Performance: -BMS Performance Cold Air Intake -VRSF Catless downpipe -Active Autowerke FMIC -Active Autowerke charge pipe -Bootmod3 Tune -AWE Tuning Touring Edition axleback exhaust Wheels/Suspension: -Gloss Black powder-coated BMW 400M Style wheels w/ Bridgestone Driveguard RFT's Interior: -OEM All-Weather floor mats -///M Projector Door lights Last edited by khizerf30; 07-01-2018 at 01:48 AM.. |

Ordered a front bumper tow hook license plate mount, and picked up a set of Bridgestone All-Season tires for my stock 400m wheels.
Will be mounting wheels/spacers, installing decklid spoiler, and front license plate mount next weekend Still trying to find a spot to have my downpipe and jb4 installed in Ny |

Nice car, especially with the 6MT! Petrolwerks in Lindenhurst does a lot of BMW work, perhaps worth giving them a call if you're looking for a shop to install your parts.

It's a beautiful car, and your mods look great. You may have convinced me to get the front lip, I was hesitating.

Update 7/14/17:
Got a great combo deal on an active autowerke front mount intercooler and charge pipe so ordered it. Got it in the mail a few days ago and just had installed today. Intercooler weight and quality is much nicer than oem and it looks more aggressive behind the grill. IMG_1884 |

It's been a while since I've last updated my build thread but car has been in storage most of winter months. Have a tune purchased, and searching for the right exhaust setup. Looking to do tune, exhaust, and lci tail lamps this season

So finally got my car tuned. Went with protuningfreaks newest bm3 platform. Unlocked my DME and flashed my ecu right from my garage. Running an OTS stage 2 E30 tune and the car is an absolute beast. Once I get an exhaust, and some new ignition coils I will be having a custom tune created for my car.
Also, broke my front lip testing out the tune on a windy day high speeds and wind literally ripped my lip off |
