We've been to Cala D'or loads over the years when we were little, I think we've been about 8/9 times but I really can't work out where that is there?

We used to stay at the Cala Esmerelda end, but we've been to most places in. It took my parents a week to find the main harbour the first time round we stayed. My Uncle now has an apartment overlooking the harbour.

The beach is Cala d'es Pou (Es forte side of the marina) and the marina pic is coming into it from the same side.

Ah, that's why I don't recognise it. We never really got round that way, some other relations used to stay at the Rocamarina hotel round that area. My Uncles apartment is that side but we've never visited.

Taken last night from Lossiemouth West Beach just before the Sun slipped behind a small bank of cloud and the mountains across The Moray Firth. I love the radiant cloud formations and the foreground reflections in this shot.

Went for a hike up Rivington Pike on Winter Hill today, if you're in the Northwest and haven't visited then it's a must the views are breathtaking!

I was up at 04:30 this morning (my wife thinks I'm mad) to capture this. The forecast looked good, the tide was right and the Sun was rising in the right part of the sky to get this composition.
This was shot at 06:30 on one of our local beaches at Lossiemouth, close to Covesea Lighthouse, just a few minutes before Sunrise.
Shortly after the Sun rose virtually all the fabulous colour disappeared.

In these otherwise very strange times, I find it very comforting to know that this old World of ours keeps on turning.

Still miffed I didn't make it there this year - it's basically what I bought the Z for.

Carcassonne is an easy ID, where are the rest from?

Amazing. Did you adjust the colours in any way or is that “as is”?

Adjusted dehaze and sharpened, but colours pretty much as is. It just got stronger and stronger until the Sun came up and then started to fade out.

Lovely shot! Hoping to get some nice shot this week as visiting Morayshire. Any Favourite spots / suggestions?

For Sunrise / Sunset / big sky shots just can't beat Lossiemouth . . but living here I'm very biased.
Also, as we approach the Autumnal Equinox, even though we're at Solar Minimum, there's always the chance of spotting the Aurora Borealis. Again, Lossiemouth West Beach is a good spot for that.

Enjoy your stay.

@allachie9 - two amazing snaps up above - I guess they’d enlarge very well on to a canvas - ever thought of displaying like that? We bought one on holiday in the Lake District the other day of Derwentwater - but I prefer yours!!

All of the ones on the river are from a 17mile canoe trip down the Vézère, which is in the Dordogne, and actually flows into the river Dordogne.

The 1000 year old ruin on top of the hill is Château Peyrepertuse, south of Carcassonne

The umbrellas are in Carcassonne Bastide.

The Château above the beach is a hotel we stop over on the way down to the south, Château de Bois Renault in Buzançais.

The beach was Hourtin Plage, west of Bordeaux.
