Need help with fuel pumps, suggestions if it's time to upgrade

So I'm new to the bimmer world. Pretty steep learning curve coming from what I was driving. I've taken my 2013 335i pretty far i think in a few weeks. All maintenance is up to date, gasket etc including new plugs and coils. I'm running JB4 with bef. Catles$ downpipe.

As i'm learning the in's and out's of the JB4 and it's logs I'm seeing my hpfp drop pretty steep. This is at around e20 on map2. I'm still confused at how to remedy low pressure because this is my first direct injected engine. Does upgrading the lpfp help with pressure? Or do I need a new hpfp? And if I need a hpfp, shouldn't a stock pump be able to run e20 on stock turbo? Car has 93k on it so I was thinking the hpfp is just tired.

Also, I hear a fast, kind of hollow ticking noise from the fuel tank area. Would assume that's not a normal noise for stock pumps on these cars? Also my cold start seems to have gotten a little rougher lately. I know that could be many different things but thought I'd mention it.

And I'm confused why it's going so rich when the HPFP pressure drops. I would think it would go lean?

I would start with your e85 concentration. How sure are you about the e20 mix, did you use an ethanol tester to confirm this?

I would also post a full log.

Do a wot run in 3rd gear. 2k to redline. Post the csv.

I'm just using an online calculator for now. Plan on getting a sensor. At the most it's e25. How do you post csv's here? It's not letting me attach it to the post. I went ahead and ordered a stage 2 lpfp. Gonna need it anyways with my goals and the noise it's making definitely isn't normal.

Can you also post what all your jb4 settings are at?

From what I can see here you need to bump up your FOL. I would bump it up 20points and relog.

I think it premature to order a lpfp at this point. The HPFP is the pump you are having issues with.

Also are you sure you have the latest JB4 firmware and BEF loaded?

Here is a 4th gear pull.

Here's a 3-4 pull

JB4 settings are stock except I upped fol to 80 like you suggested. Latest firmware and bef. The pump is making noises so it's getting replaced. I've been stranded because of using stock pumps on my other car after going full e85 so I'm playing it safe. Plus it's likely this is the original 93k mile pump and it's peace of mind. Plan on taking this build further anyways. I'm new to direct injected cars, but doesn't the lpfp help the HPFP? My thinking is it's falling off after a shift when revs are lower so maybe the lpfp isn't supplying enough fuel? But I have no idea why the AFR dips so low at the same time the HPFP pressure drops. Would figure it would lean out?

I'm learning so any input is appreciated! I've tuned my other car for the last 5 years using HPtuners so I have a little background. Just wish I had more pids available like lpfp pressure, duty cycle, commanded AFR etc. Would really help now. I know this car doesn't have a lpfp sensor though, kinda sucks.

Edit: I've attached a couple posts that others have said that adding an upgraded lpfp will help keep hpfp pressure up. This is the info I'm going on. Like I said, I'm new to the DI engine scene so I'm trying to figyout the fueling side of things still.

I would suggest posting your questions on this in the technical section related to your specific motor. There's probably a "log review" thread in there already like there is under the B58 section. Post your logs and questions there as this is just the general section and a lot of the log guys don't hang out in here.
I'm fairly new to tuning so dont want to give bad advice on the logs

most will ask for a 4th gear pull from 2500-6500, and add more of the parameters

Yes it is best to post these questions in the technical section.

Briefly skimming those logs you are having some serious boost spikes. Like 5psi over target. Thats likely why you fuel pump is crashing. Its trying to feed fuel for 20+psi of boost. You are also getting throttle cuts.

The fact that the jb4 is not dropping you into safe mode has me concerned. Can you post a screen shot of your settings?

How does the car feel when your are driving it?
