Hello everyone, just tried this today on my 2013 F34 and no go. Most options ware already in place. I needed to change only 17.

I have the new items in the menu but phone only connects for audio. It even shows (on my phone) the icon that connects a device for calls only.

I removed the pairing from both my phone and car and reconnected. Still not working...

Any ideas?

Hi all, I've been reading about EBT and I wondered if I had it, mine is a 2014 NBT idrive, I have pro nav and 6HN enabled, now I've seen that with the EBT you get the album artwork through Bluetooth but I already get this, and I can go through my playlists etc etc however the text messaging function doesn't seem to work and the car can pick up 2 phones at the same time but not be connected to both, so do I need to change my VO to 6NS and then code the ecus?

Hey guys, new to the forums and first time posting.

I've been making some changes today with E-SYS including changing radio area and a few other options in the HU_NBT, everything changing over great. I have just tried to get the bluetooth working but having issues there. Our Japanese import F20 never had the "Telephone" option in the iDrive menu despite having the SOS button and Phone button on the steering wheel.

After coding as explained here the Telephone menu etc. is all there, however I can't seem to see it to pair to. Does this mean the hardware is simply not there for bluetooth? Or am I missing something else?

The best is using cable hooked up to laptop with backup power however apps like bimmercode make it much easier with extra risk

Been doing lots of reading, studying and ready to code. Sorry, this is my first post so I am hoping I am following protocol as the ultimate goal is to use the code in this thread ... but somewhat unrelated. I just couldn't find one similar to my issue.

Purchased bimmercode and a VeePeak ODBCheck BLE+
I installed bimmercode on my Chromebook. The Chromebook hooks up to the Veepeak no problem .. but it will not connect to the car.
(edit to post - Chromebook does seem to be a problem with the Veepeak) I am able to connect with my Android phone.
Read all their instructions to trouble shoot .. nothing .. I tested the connection with my origianl cabled ODBC II reader. I get an initial reading but if I try and take a 2nd reading I get an error reading code.

So A couple questions ..
Anybody have some ideas as to why it is not connecting? Yes wifi is off ... there are no other devices that are hooked to the blue tooth, I found a post on this site that actually worked. While connecting it said simply put your phone real close to the unit. That worked!

Question 2 can I code direct from chromebook through the USB port using Bimmercode? Is that a better option? Not sure a Chromebook will work here. Wish it could as a directly connected unit.

I’m not sure that I understand your reply, but yes I was able to connect with the veepeak. After reading a post on this site I simply positioned my phone closer to the device while connecting and it worked.

Just tested the coding in my f31 with nbt, I have the menu of Bluetooth with telephone 2 check but is missing the telephone 1 option. In other words if I modify options of Bluetooth in one phone I also modify the options in the other one
