Hey guys,

A few months ago I posted about echo issues on phone calls on the receivers side of the call. I've disconnected the internal mic and tried 2 different external mics, none of which have solved the problem. At this point I'm finding it hard to believe it's a mic issue and not something else. Not sure if there are some volume settings on the HU, OEM or phone side (Pixel 4a) that I can mess with. Otherwise I'm at a loss on figuring this out and may just make peace with using OEM BT for phone calls and Android BT for music, which limits functionality of the head unit for making calls, but oh well.

Also, I noticed that when I play a video in spotify on full screen it plays for a few seconds and then dims and overlays the playback control. HOWEVER, when I play it in split screen the video plays fine. No idea why, but was wondering if anyone else had this issue. Also Youtube TV only works well in split screen mode but has playback issue in full screen.

Lastly, when my backup camera or parking sensors come on and I'm on a call everything gets muted. Very annoying and I don't remember ever having this happen. "Mute in reverse" is unchecked so not sure if this is something on the OEM side? I'm curious if anyone has had this issue

Hi. I've a BMW X4 F26 2015 28i with harman kardon.
Sound output it's from central harness aux, not the armrest.
With these settings, the sound quality improved a lot in Tidal and Spotify. Like night and day.

The only change from 3.0.4 to 3.0.5 is the "brick" fix, so its up to if the changelog list some changes/fixes that you want to have.

If you have no issues then no... like I said time and time again, these software updates are completely pointless. In past year or even longer I have seen only one feature that was interesting - or rather fix to their messed up controller actions.

That was mentioned many times in this thread, you need to physically cut the internal mic to have the external one operational.

I have exactly this setup and it works fine the digital chain is working and the soundquality is much improved.
The problem is only you lose the volume control feature over the steering you need to do this directly on the Android device.
Which is uncomfortable. There would be a remapping of the steering wheel buttons to the Android volume control needed.

The purpose of the diod is not to protect the OEM unit... well it is but not the way you think. The diod cuts off the phantom power supplied by Android so it has to be on the Android side. That way neither OEM GPS nor head unit will be getting it.

The ANDROID side directly finds 12 GPS (with A-GPS FIX) and works even without an internet network (with SYGIC for example =
On the other hand on the OEM side and even after 11 minutes of waiting on site = nothing.
I haven't tried driving yet, do you think the Y cable with diode is not working?

I went for a ride:
ANDROID GPS: worry-free (even without connection)
OEM GPS: he sees me at 372 km ...
I launch a route so that it is updated = it does not work, it makes me drive in a field then asks me to turn around then see me at 458 kms etc etc ...

Hello,Do anyone knows solution of this error.I read my car fault code and bimmerlink give this message "CID no response BFF8C3".The problem is that i can hear sound only left side speakers of the car when i am listening unit android side app like spotify etc. Original bmw side i can hear sound left and rigth side speakers. Before this fault everything has worked flawlessly. the device has been in use for six months

This fault code has nothing to do with your Android unit. In fact not one code will reflect any issue with Android. This one just says the there is no communication with CID... because you removed it to install Android screen.

Your audio issue is most likely caused by incorrectly secured quadlock. Double check all your cables, connectors etc.
