New Apex ARC-8R forged set installed

New Apex ARC-8R forged set installed

Went from OEM 442 style 19s with run flats to:

Front- 18x9 ET30, 245/35
Rear - 18x9.5 ET35, 265/35
Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport 4s

UPS dropped ‘em off yesterday, and had them on right away. Was going to go with 275/35 on the rear, but they are back ordered at the moment. Also wasn’t totally sure they would fit without fender roll or camber adjust. But there is room to spare with the 265/35’s so they will fit for sure when I’m ready for new rubber.

These wheels are in brushed clear and I think are perfect for the black sapphire. Picks up the silver bits on lights and side mirror turn signals. The OEM wheels made the car look kinda generic Japanese, not that there is anything wrong with that , just didn’t have the classic BMW vibe and stance. These are an update on the seemingly timeless BBS mesh

Also they are almost 12 pounds lighter each with tires than OEM’s with narrower tires. Could feel the difference right way in response and steering and handling. And much better ride from the 19” run flats. Really loving these wheels!

Loving this setup! Thanks for the purchase and congrats on an excellent finish choice. Brushed clear is currently my favorite across our lines. Glad to hear that the 265s fit well in the rear! Those Michelins will make a huge difference compared to the 19" runflats as well.

Thanks Tom, y'all do a great job over there! Beautiful wheels, and the Michelin's are the perfect choice for the balmy (steamy) Florida climate.

Congrat on getting the forged version. I was so close to pull the trigger on them but stuck with the regular Flow form ARC8 due to tight budget. Imo the lighter shade of silver plus the brushed texture made the forged ARC8 look even better than regular ARC8.

Are you on stock suspension, msport or adaptive? Or lowered?

Looks really good. I'm planning a similar setup mid-March but was thinking 255/40 up front and 265/40 out back.

I was looking at the flow formed set first, but fell in love with the brushed silver and having the strongest lightweight wheel and having a wheel forged from on piece aluminum. Also the ARC-8R's have a bit more clearance for big brakes if thats a consideration.

Adaptive M suspension on H&R Sport Springs which I believe drops it an inch. The 255's might just fit up front, I have good clearance and no issues locking steering either way.

bseward would this setup work with my 2018 340i M Sport (RWD) without fender roll etc?
