But for a stock system, despite it being heavy and crazy quiet, it is fairly straight in the places that count and mostly 3" throughout. 3" is pretty beefy for a stock system.

The MPE is a Cat back i believe... what would it sound like if that resonator in the midpipe were to be removed? Is that necessary or is that just for sound dampening?

MPE is a muffler only, no catback.

Yea sorry thats what i meant... But considering its only the muffler... would it be okay to cut that resonator out of the middle of the stock midpipe?

Yes, cutting, you can re install the stock catback with a clamp. I am running the stocker right now with a clamp, works great.

its okay, but you may get more sound, more drone, more rasp then intended. It's anybody's guess as to the sound. Borla is running a catback with no resonator, so thats an indication that its not needed.

Been too long, need new updated videos of different exhaust systems for the n20.
I'm sure most existing exhaust sounds different now after it has been broken in.
Surprised that there aren't many people upgrading their exhaust.

That means its still on the quiet side even after the break in.
I'm not looking for a rice rocket and be the loudest in the neighbourhood but spending 1k on a axle back exhaust that no one has proved to show gains and only slightly louder than stock might not worth the price.

I only wish if I can hear it in person where I live there is nobody that has the mpe on a n20.

My car was dynoed with MPE and stage 2 BMS tune, and it made 320 torque at the wheels. It's possible the torque number was so high because of the MPE, but maybe not. But yea, it's a bit too quiet for my tastes. It changed the tone of the exhaust for the better, but not the volume so much. I'm really waiting to hear an MPE with downpipe at some point.

Is that the stock exhaust with downpipe? The other thing is, the exhausts sound much louder when you put the camera right next to it. Including the MPE. Could you make a video from inside the car with the windows down maybe? Or a driveby?

Found these on youtube while searching for some good future mods:

Love how both sounds like, but I'm leaning towards the Eisenmann exhaust, though more expensive...
