Crazy Bad brake sound -- but brakes are fine

Check this out. Kind of started out of nowhere, however I pulled off wheels, calipers, everything off and it all looks good. No rocks or anything in pads, backing plate, etc.

Is really bad when first starting out for the day, even with no rain/dry, and no visible rust on rotors. Gets better once pretty hard on brakes at first stop sign by my house, but still seems to persist. Only when slowing down from 10mph to zero. Really sounds like metal on metal -- only under braking.

Any ideas to help it go away? Brakes have life in them -- 1800 miles on rear and 18k on front. Sounds like its coming from the front...

Would love any insight. Id rather not replace the front brakes right now if possible, im already about to buy rear brakes.

I have these everyday with my stock M Performance pads. That's why I plan to swap to ceramic based pads soon.

Also, may I know if you have stock one piston brake or 4 pistons M Sport brake?

My wife's SUV also made such noise and after I lube the caliper's pin, the noise was 99% gone.

Ive had this with performance pads before, but never on this car. Started all of a sudden as well.

This might be helpful regarding greasing parts:

I don't see any mention about calipers pins. Not sure if it works the same as other brake setup....Also be careful about the greese used for lube caliper pins.

Took everything off, cleaned up, and greased it. Seems to be better, no squealing but does have a little grinding grinding sound.

I did find a piece of metal shaving within the pad -- seems like maybe it was a flake from manufacturing that embedded in the pad compound. Luckily, its mostly worn down so hopefully soon will wear off completely and the little grinding sound left will go away
