Spongy throttle 335d

Has anyone experienced the following?

On two occasions during the last couple of weeks, the accelerator response
significantly changed whilst driving.

No i-drive indication, just a strange response when pushing the throttle pedal.
Get up and go had got up and gone!

Then yesterday, the same thing happened but this message also appeared on i-drive.

I left it displayed, intending to pull over when possible to get a decent photo.
However, after around 10miles (!) the message disappeared and the throttle response returned to normal.

It seems fine now.

Looks like there Could be a turbo fault or boost leak there.
Code 290900 suggests a problem with the EGR.

Mileage is around 25k and car is 2.5 years old.

The faults all cleared so I'll see what happens over the next few days.

its under manufacturers warranty .. book it in at the dealers to investigate, but don't clear the codes again if they return

I had the exact same issue on my 420d. Came and went then came back again. Booked in and turned out to be an egr valve and o2 sensor. Replaced under warranty and all good since.

Sounds like EGR starting to go bad. Just make sure the fault codes aren’t cleared when you take it in for warranty repair as they need to be live I think to claim the warranty from BMW (the dealer, not you)
