Decided to remove my wheels and give them a deep cleaning and while I was in there I cleaned the brake calipers and the rotor hats. Freshened up the anti seize for wheels too.

Hope others enjoyed some bmw time too.
Oh my. Those center caps and that M logo are out of alignment !!

That's bugging me so much, I'm ready to break the stay at home orders, drive across country, and help you fix those center caps.
Keeping it going this weekend. Added some IND painted reflectors, new exhaust tips, and oh yeah.... straitened out my center caps. :- )

Reflectors were pretty straight forward. Hardest part was getting the double sided tape off the bumper. But all in all a pretty easy mod.

Exhaust tips were a bit more work because of how I wanted them to look. I bought a set of tips from Remus because I really like how they look and others on the board rave about the quality of their products. Plus they use stock diameter piping for their exhaust so they were the right size to slip onto my stock set up. I wanted them to be almost flush with the bumper so I had to cut some pipe off to make it look right inside the tip. Quick work for the saws all. I think it turned out great.

Keeping the BMW projects rolling. This weekend I swapped on a set of M3 springs and bump stops. Nice subtle drop from msport height and slight improvement in handling. Hope everyone is doing well.

Yes. No coding.

If you don't already have an m sport car you'll need the trim and the airbag too cause they are different than the other lines. So that will boost the cost significantly.

Yeah, I did a lot of cleaning and waxing on the car and then got new wheels and splitter and blacked out the badges. I had to tell myself to stop.

so if you say have a steering wheel and airbag thats not heated, and get a steering wheel and airbag of the same style wheel that is heated, i would need the switch for it? and thats the expense part?

No, I was saying that if you had a sport line or standard line car and want the m sport or m3 wheel you are going to need extra parts and an airbag.

For non heated to heated, I have no idea if all you need is the switch. Do all cars come pre wired?

At least you aren't driving that junky vw next to you. Between leaky sunroof and engine problems galore, it's really a true statement of "you get what you pay for".

That's my wife's car, we were originally looking for a small SUV and she refused to get anything bigger thank the hatch back.

Luckily we bought it after diesel gate when they started offering the 6 yr/72k bumper to bumper warranty (which they just stopped in 2020) so anything that goes wrong is not our problem.

The advantage of working on one's own car- garage tool chest is always stocked with virus protection products 😉
