Buying a Canadian bmw imported into the US... Warranty? Recalls?
Hi everyone, I found a 3 series with the exact packages I wanted, low miles, for a great price.. and realized it was from Canada.
How would warranty and recalls work? Does anyone have any experience with this or have done this before? Thanks!

What are the vehicle specifics? Where is the vehicle located? Is the vehicle being sold by a CDN dealer or private seller? You can plug the VIN into BMW Canada’s open recall tool which will verify if anything is outstanding. Don’t believe the CDN warranty is valid in the States; however, I wonder if any SULEV coverage would be depending on your state?

Not completely certain but U.S.-based VINs can be serviced at Canadian dealerships for warranty/recall purposes so I would assume it would work the other way. BMW Canada and BMW USA handle the details and reimburses the servicing dealership.
