Hi! I also got this stupid "Android Auto cannot connect right now" after updating to the latest carlinkit software. Have Xiaomi mi 9, and it was working perfect on the previous version. Was connecting automatically when car was powering on. Now I have to restart Bluetooth and WiFi several time to connect normally.

Goodmorning everyone
Can some good soul help me understand what I'm doing wrong?
I updated the firmware to v3.5.0.9.gpe.b on an EW-BMCP-NBT 01A box installed on a bmw f48 (x1 12/2015). Nothing works anymore, the screen is black.
I wrote to the old custom firmware (v2.0.B1.mod + MCU 20.06.02)
and everything works fine apart from the wheel control on the steering wheel
do you have any advice on this?

Updated my Carlinkit unit from 9.2.20.yl.b2 to 9.5.10.yl.b2 - used PIN 4091 to update. Here are the changes I noticed so far:

• UI/connection feels slightly faster
• YouTube entry in the MMI menu
• Holding the Option key activates the Front camera

Hi:

I just picked up my 2016 M235i Convertible, and I want to add one of the CarPlay retrofit kits (but not pay BimmerTech prices!)

My car has no nav at all. 6.5" screen, 2-way iDrive controller.

As best as I can tell, I have the ENTRYNAV1 HU. The CarPlay retrofit kits tend to offer 3 options - NBT, CIC, and maybe NBT Evo.

The think I cant figure out is whether they are compatible with my system. Is entrynav considered a kind of NBT, or a whole different animal? Will the Andream and equivalent units work with my car?

Sorry for the slightly off topic question.

I got an e92 and I did a software upgrade on my Andream unit but it is now asking me for a decryption password with a QR code next to it.

Any ideas where/how to get that key? I'm asking because Andream support is very slow to respond and I need this urgently.

You could try 2863 or 5025 from the MMI units (from the first post). If those don't work then the link that the QR code gives you and/or Andream are going to be the only ones to know it for your all-in-one unit.

I'm hoping Andream gets back to me tomorrow morning, as I'd ideally want this to be functional for my trip tomorrow... Silly me for asking for a software update from them... And them for not providing me the key beforehand or at least telling me what to expect after upgrading...

Updated to 9.6.2.yl.b2 and nothing changes at all... Same connection issues wirelessly. It works ok if I plug it by wire. Sometimes it works wirelessly if I switch off/on Bluetooth and wifi

Hey guys, does dynamic parking lines work without PDC option?

I got a defective carlinkit, only worked once after installed so I only got to try it once. When I did the lines were not moving with the steering wheel?

Returned it, I got a roadtop one coming in tomorrow.

They do on my Andream CICHL unit. I don't have PDC.

Not sure if the same is true for Carlinkit.

The connector has a golden look. Maybe a few micron thick finish. But it said nothing about different other hardware in the box. Maybe the other colored connectors were out of stock and they use another. I know, assumption is the mother of all fuckups.

Ok, so this feels like a dumb question, but how on earth do you control which phone this MMI will choose to connect to? If my wife and I are both in the car, I want it to connect to my phone, not hers! When she's using the car, it should use hers etc. I don't see anything in MMI settings that let me control this. Right now I'm sitting in the car in my driveway, and wireless AA is connected to her phone which is in the house! There has got to be a way to setup an order/preference or something right?

edit: my phone is even connted via the wire, but I cannot figure out how to get it to disconnect from her phone!

Same exact issue for me. It seems everyone is recommending we use OEM Bluetooth for media/phone etc. However, that just seems to cause all sorts of other issues. Specifically, my audio simply doesn't work over OEM Bluetooth. Even though it's connected, so long as Android Auto is running the only way I can get sound is via Aux. Is there something I need to do in my phone settings to route audio over Bluetooth instead of AA/Aux?
