DYNO on STAGE2

Just had my B48 custom mapped by Halim (HCP) here in Denmark, which also makes the files they use in BM3.

Stage 2 100RON

Was taken on their new Dynojet.

300whp and 400nm ~ roughly, give or take 10+- for each, im extremely satisfied.

It says clutch power, not whp. If that’s true than it’s not that great result for st2. Or I could misunderstood something. Also what b48 model 20i or 30i?

Thanks for your interest, i'm trying to get all the feedback and knowledge i can in this tuning world

Halim stated that the Dynojet dyno is much more accurate then normal dynos, and because of that dyno which the rollers weigh over a ton to simulate an accurate loss of drivetrain etc. Atleast thats what i picked up from it.

Its the 20i B48.

Yea i've seen bigger numbers on a ST2, but i wanted to limit the boost to 18~ psi because of thats what i've learned was a safe limit, when you want the car to run for several years, without being afraid of something going wrong.. Had the car from factory new, and am pretty protective

Please let me know what you think or do know something i don't

Well I think performance on the road is more important than horsepower numbers shown on the dyno. Would be nice if you could make some performance testing with dragy for example. Then we can compare your results with other cars, for example my car. I also have 20i b48.

Do you have a list of mods you could share? Still this is great performance and glad to see how stage 2 b48s are pumping out solid numbers.

I feel like a lot of dynos state this but isn't the purpose of dyno / the measure at the wheels?

Supersprint de-catted downpipe, OPF delete, and complete 3" Supersprint exhaust system running into a MPE backbox.
FTP Chargepipes/intake pipes
K&N drop-in filter. (Had MST Performance installed but got tired of the "blow-off" kinda sound it made)
Sport gearbox software (From 140i etc) for Launch control and aggresiver gears.
Wagner tuning chargecooler

E50 tune is around 19,5 psi 20,5 degrees of timing.

And a E50 tune is exactly? If you dont mind elaborating, is it like a ethanol blend?

Yes it’s ethanol blend with 50% of it.

Good numbers p47r1ck. But like Dronamashina said, dyno numbers mean nothing. It's how the power translates into the road that matters, at least, for me. Which is why I've never dynod my car. But I might some day, just for fun.
And also ask Halim to do an ethanol blend tune for you if E85 is available on your country (E25~30 is good enough for a noticeable difference).

Yea definitly agree. Therefore i just ordered a Dragy! Will update on numbers when i get it, and i can get a decent run without wheelspin

Sadly we don't have E85 on pump here in Denmark.

Ah ok. What's the highest octane petrol you get there?

And can't wait for your dragy numbers! Hopefully wheelspin isn't an issue

Raced tuned Nissan 370Z recently. It has intake, full exhaust, cams, tune and slight weight reduction. Watch from 1.45

In Ireland we only get one grade of petrol, 95 octane
Although some companies do an enhanced fuel for cleaner running and more mpg. That what I tend to use. My 330e runs best on maxol petrol. Better mpg and the engine seems to pull better.

Mods -

1. JB4 with EWG connector; Map 6
2. Drop-in K&N filter
4. Michelin PS3+ tyres

Fuel - E25 blend

Launch control runs twice, back to back with no cool off period. Only did it those two times.

Results in the pic below.

Trap speeds - 105.06mph for the 13.12s run and 106.37mph for the 13.14s run.

Video of the second run below as I didn't know you had to actually press the record button (I assumed it would start recording automatically when you move, which was why I couldn't get the 13.12s run on video).

Hey Everyone!

Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you all.

I unfortunately did NOT get Dragy for Christmas from anyone I thought MAY have got it for me. It is tough to get the wife to track and/or understand these things. Eitherway, its all good. I will buy one in February.

In other news, here is a quick video/sound check of the exhaust system post-install. Hope you all enjoy it!
