Adding lighting to trunk

Morning guys. Searched around a bit but didn't find threads on this.

Has anyone added led strips in their trunk for added lighting? I assume a strip is used thay runs on 12v and it tapped into the trunk light, correct? If so can someone post a link to a good strip to purchase. Looking for white 4000/5000K.

I was redoing some wiring in the trunk area and cleaning and it was nice with the extra lighting of a mag mounted light.

Thanks

I used one of these for a similar project. With a 12v source omit the AC transformer. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'd do as the OP said, piggy back it on to the trunk light wiring. It doesn't draw enough current to create any problems.

I've used a Cob style 12v LED strip off eBay and it works fine. I tapped into the wiring of the original light.
