Those are solid number for a jb+ considering that the catless downpipe on the new b58 motor doesn't add any power (confirm par Terry at BMS) Baseline TQ seems a bit high for a stock car though.. Anyway the fact is the gain, 55WHP and 49WTQ is great!!

Enjoy the ride now!

Posted the Dyno for you..

Pretty solid for JB+. Was it on default or cranked up fully?

Well you do have downpipes on it..

or was this 100% stock run from another day?

It sounds like your supporting mods make a difference as when I did a dyno with just the jb+ it only added power up to about 4 or 5 k rpm

after that it barely made any additional power over stock.

everything else being equal does it imply the stock systems airflow is causing a bottleneck?

When raising boost you are raising airflow requirements especially at higher RPM so supporting mods are needed..

There is always the question about Downpipe.. Terry from BMS said it was not required, but some are saying that it's useful to get more gain...

Because my car is on a lease, i was thinking about going jb4 only (already have the MPPSK on my 340i) and i've ordered with Mike the Agency Power intake. Maybe thinking about a catted downpipe (highflow). dont want any code.

Congrats on the intake!

You might get a code even with catted downpipes. Get the Jb4 and call it a day

So you suggest to only get JB4 and no catted downpipe. Anyway won't change anything on performance as I'll need to run map 1 or 2 and not 3 (cause of MPPSK)

Do you have stock exhaust or aftermarket one? Which one? And how is the sound? Any throttle closure problem?

Look at my sig for my mods. I'm running AWE catback. DP + catback = LOUD AF. The cold start is brutal, but you can drive it not obnoxiously if you keep it under 2.5k RPMs. I don't run a tune nor do I log so I can't comment. You'll most likely need the additional wires to help control the WGDC with the FUA setting in JB4.

Still waiting to see proofs of said gains with the DP on B58. Been waiting for quite some time actually.

Map 3 over MPPSK might be overkill, but seems ok according to some. But again, every car reacts different to JB4 and the base boost vary depending on the weather.

I, for one, will try it and log some runs with it as soon as my summer rubbers are on. At least two more weeks to go...

Get JB4 and you can always get down-pipe down the road.. Even on Map1 the JB4 makes a HUGE difference.

To be fair, I'm not running any tunes. I dyno'd, and wouldn't have achieved the numbers I did without the downpipe. Obviously I could'be just went the JB4 route and have forgone the DP, but still.

People have posted dinos with only the magic pipe.

Great post by the OP. I'm thinking of going JB4 only with a downpipe and nothing else. I think that should be on the upper limit before you get throttle closure.

JB4 with downpipes is a great combo
